Boland showed his class this innings. Unlucky guy, lesser bowlers than him have 300+ test wickets against their name.

Kohli during his u19 days said Hershelle Gibbs was his favourite player. It's only after he started growing in stature started taking the name of Sachin as his idol.

 

Vaibhav Suryavanshis current favorite player is Brain Lara and with enough success in international cricket under his belt might change it to Kohli for getting closer to his fans.

Or he literally played with Sachin and then changed his mind as he matured? You know adults don't hold the same option they held as kids, right? Or even adults don't have the same opinion forever?

Yes as he started finding success, Kohli understood what it takes to play at a consistently high level for decades and must have started emulating and admiring him and it also helps to take his name for branding reasons.

Boland is the pace equiv of Jadeja at home and abroad for Aus.

 

Jadeja  home avg per wkt 20.95  away avg per wicket 36.97

Boland  home avg per wkt 16.02  away avg per wicket  37.62

 

Boland has a small sample size outside Aus  of just 8 wickets and 6 of his 8 wickets are vs WI at avg of 6. He has crapped out in 3/4 matches.
