Very important development this. Last thorn from the Naxal side killed today. He, his wife and 4 other terrorists dispatched to hell.

"DEATH OF HIDMA! Hidma carried a reward of ₹ One crore on his head and escaped many times. Hidma’s wife also was gunned in this operation In at least 5/6 instances police announced that Hidma was encountered and every time, the news turned out to be fake!

 

Hidma apparently always has an army of 500 men around him at any given point of time, almost like a human fortress around him. In theory, he was man who could never be captured, even if the police force was doubled or tripled. There are many theories about how Hidma finally fell into the trap. One very strong theory is that maoists who surrendered in the recent months could have helped the police get to him. Like I had mentioned, Hidma’s death is equivalent to death of Maoist movement in India!

Spare a thought for Mahendra Karma. This encounter is a tribute to him, an adivasi who took matter into his own hands to fight Naxals at the peak of their powers. 

 

They tortured him to death, milord cockroaches disarmed 'Salwa Judum' and made the innocent tribals sitting ducks, never forget their betrayal.

In national news, naxal problem was less in news than kashmir n related terrorism. But fatalities-wise, naxal problem and Kashmir were similar.

Politicians will take the credit. But I believe following are the main reasons for reduction of red terror

 

1. Dilution of ideology. The end goal of these red terrorists is unknown. Earlier they wanted to establish a communist state. But that is no longer valid
2. Extensive doles in form of farm loan waivers, fee re imbursements, free medical care, mnrega and ladli behnaa have made the rural folks very happy. Infact, from, what i have seen, rural folks in Telugu states have enough to have oodles and oodles of free time. 
3. Mass employment of young men in industry, delivery jobs, ola/Uber have weaned them away from terror.

 

It is actually a commendable achievement.
