Placed in the same group, India and Pakistan are set to lock horns in Colombo in a T20 World Cup fixture on February 15 next year.

Contrary to speculations that India could avoid playing Pakistan in the same group due to the ongoing tensions between the two countries, multiple sources have confirmed to Sportstar that the arch-rivals have been placed in the same group, along with the USA, Namibia, and the Netherlands.

According to sources, India is set to start its campaign against the USA at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on February 8, followed by a game against Namibia in Delhi on February 12.

The team will then travel to Colombo for the big game against Pakistan, before featuring in its last group league fixture against the Netherlands in Mumbai on February 18.

It is understood that Ahmedabad, Chennai, and Kolkata will host the Super 8 fixtures on February 22, 26, and March 1, respectively.

If India qualifies for the semifinals, it will play at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, while, as reported earlier by Sportstar, Colombo will host the first semifinal on March 4. The final of the mega event will be held in Ahmedabad on March 8.

Never thought this will happen once again in this T20 WC itself, India will face Pakistan and travel to Colombo for the clash.

We are not a serious nation. What exactly is the status of Operation Sindoor?

'Any act of terror will be treated as act of war'

Delhi attack has definite Pak hand. We are busy playing cricket with them

Bunch of Crooks, Cowards and Idiots (BCCI)

How the F in every F tournament can it be the same F teams in the same F group?

Then you have the political/military dimension to consider. It make zero sense.

Aus & Eng don't do engage in this rigging of groups. BCCI has to to be the most gutless organisation ever.

Wtf truely shameless. I will keep away from cricket

Other teams have every right to question our ICC trophy wins, just because the competition isn't fair. Draw rigging is not done in any serious sport. Look here, Ind and Pak placed with each other in the easiest group to help them qualify to super 8s, while all other groups are tougher, and prone to upsets.

Aus, SL, Zim, Ire in Group B......co-hosts SL can easily bow out early

Eng, WI, BD in Group C, can't count out Kanglus in SC conditions

RSA, NZ, Afg in Group D....group of death

This keeps happening in every single tournament.
