No its only in few games not all the games broadcast the speeds, it been same for last 4-5 years.

 

They get broadcasting crews in certain grounds and matches played there are broadcasted. no matter who plays in those grounds then.

May be there is some pre -planning by broadcasters but its usually that way. And yes if players like kolhi and Rohit are playing crew will go there.

 

There is nothing new to the broadcasting, its been like that. Finals/semifinal/Dulpeep/Irani trophy will be broadcasted and have all the things needed.

 

This is the 1st time that so many matches are broadcasted, may be IPL teams would have asked it or just the contract saying it or could be broadcaster doing on their own

First of all ball tracking and speed gun are two different things, so I got confused there. I apologise.

 

And yes only the finals have ball tracking and reviews. Ball tracking and reviews come hand in hand in broadcasting terms, it seems.

In terms of proper cricket , the ball tracking is done by 2-4 companies :: hawk eye is mostly and widely accepted is used.

 

So if they have hawkeye they can do both ball tracking and show speeds.  Broadcasting those speeds is diff. thing.  As it req. multiple cams it may be the case they are capturing speeds and using less number of cams. 

 

As in Ind Domestic cricket Drs is now available to hawkeye is always there , they may be using other cams to get the speeds. So tech is same the company doing is same, its just if they have full equipment or not.

 

There was a case 3-4 yrs back when they use to broadcast random or wrong speeds that could be use of lesser number of cams
