youngindia Posted January 7 Posted January 7 (edited) sa playing right into the hands of ind u19 with little variations. not sure why letgo of the knowledge.fanie de villiers was one of the most difficult bowlers to hit n he was a rare one who outwitted jayasiuriya. the comical story is great azhar mehmood managed to hit the same sa attack badly. the ind u19 bowling has been exposed in onecondition-subcontinent dead pitches with no holdup. In other conditions, they have generally beat the sena sides by a long way especially in conditions of bounce. They are playing in SA though. It was only after Vaibhav was out they started bowling pace off deliveries, otherwise we would have set them a target of 450.
tapandrun Posted January 7 Posted January 7 vaibhav- due to nature of his batting style he provides couple of chances every innings , if the opp. team is able to grap-on to those then its good else runs flows fast. he will need to fix this, at good level ppl will not drop those many catches regularly. but clearly he is above that u19 level , need to pipeline to ind side in such a way that in ind/intnl it does not look like he is not ready. this can happen to some1 who is v.good for the age group level but not good enough for Intnl level. rollingstoned 1

ODIs..doesnt hav ethat much shelf life remaning..he is not a Test batter..as of now.. Edited January 7 by Need4Speed

Yes his game is properly suited for t20s, can take all the risks. t20 is game of high risk and high rewards , more so now that every team is ditching the dedicated anchor/accumulator role. if some1 from top order is playing 35 or more balls have to make sure that they are scoring at 175+ sr, 35 or more ball fifties will now start causing the team big time. Jaiswal has not played at #3/4 and in last IPL it looked like he slows down a bit outside pp. That could be due to composition of the team or could be natural to his batting style

Only Abhishek+ Vaibhav is the opening partnership in Ind where one can relax a bit on t20 batting template and let wk bat in the mo. else wk has to open till they find some1 like klasen/buttler/Pooran who can tade down bowling in mo.
cowboysfan Posted January 8 Posted January 8 Vaibhav can hit a Six to any part of the ground, very few batsmen can do that,he should move away from Bihar team ASAP as they suck.

Basically from over 7 to over 16
Lone Wolf Posted January 8 Posted January 8 Vaibhav needs to play top level fc cricket. He will improve further. He will learn the art of inns building and his dismissal worthy balls will start to diminish. He has raw power in his shots which cannot be coached. Technical aspects can only be improved playing better teams and coaches bts doing the work.

Basically from over 7 to over 16 Again good data to look at, A lot can be deduced how team is playing. if the opener are not playing the middle overs then other Ind batters are not showing much of intent hardly any 1 hitting 150+ sr . ball per boundary is nearly 6 balls its like they are only hitting 1 boundary per over and balls per 6 is 12+ so mostly 4s shows jaiswal slows down in mo, even though he is an opener and already has played lot of balls (in terms of t20). Surprised to see only tilak and pant sr in 140s in the mo . Ind need to work on hitting 6s in mo. Edited January 8 by tapandrun
deepdynamo Posted January 8 Posted January 8 Suryavanshi own us a U19 World Cup for all the opportunuities he is getting in IPL and domestic cricket. Very rarely, there is a player who is two-three level above U19 cricket.
