Tricky year for me too personally with a couple of broken bones thrown in for good measure adding some bed rest and recuperation (and more time for trolling on here).

 

Nothing thats going to stop me looking forward to another year though.

A year of growth. You take the good with the bad and keep moving forward.

 

Highlights: 

 

- 2 weeks in East Africa

- 1 month in Europe

- Travel to far flung locations in Australia that are hard to get to

- Helping my parents undertake renovation work on their home

- Progressing my flying career with additional ratings

The most rewarding aspect of the whole journey is helping others fly.

 

The person struggles and don't quite know what they are doing.

 

You talk with them, give them actionable advice they can follow etc. Things than click and start falling in place. 

 

You are literally watching someone grow right in front of your eyes. It's a beautiful feeling.

I think, as a species, the greatest reward for us is helping each other. There is a reason why we have thrives.

On verge of this. Got a promotion while back. Delivered a major project post promotion.  Uk tax system means i will be taxed 60% on every extra pound earned. Plan to do just enough. No burning midnight oil.

Congrats man. You are much more productive than I am. You can continue for sometime. Atleast till your kids complete college.

But yeah thats western europe in a nutshell. Beyond a threshold it does not pay to work for a salaried person. Focus on work life balance.

I was in UK for 9 months. An absolutely stunning country in beauty. Try to settle in a place like Inverness. Heaven on earth.

i only watch R+ movies and full violence or chasing chics. I dunno about u uncle, u follow grand pa (now) ballaayaa. Anyway i want ur 50year old bike when i come to hyd uncle

Professionally - 2025 was a bit of challenge. Though it also gave me a close opportunity to work with GenZs, and for some reason I was able to adapt. 

Personally this year went well health wise, no issues thankfully. 

 

2026 me, I am expecting to have more opportunities to travel. I like traveling but this year couldnt do much.

Thank you for the advice..

 

At first, I thought I was being too entitled and given the state of job market in India, many people would do anything to have my job.

 

But then everytime I would swipe in to my office campus, I would just look forward to my swipe out time at 6:30 pm. Sure, it's not necessary to love your job, but I think my relationship with my work has become unhealthy.

 

In fact, it's come to the point that I won't mind taking a pay cut and switch to a role that offers more flexibility and freedom in approach to work.
