Not if within India we have different opinions.

My issue is using these useless issues to divert attention away from other things like Disproprionate funding to one state, project relcation one state, creating policies that help one stat, Major investments in one state while conning the rest with these bull **** religious talks.  Just look at cricket. Every goddamn important match happens in one stadium. Excuse is that is the biggest. Ya.. you built it big mainly for these things.  Infrastructure failures like bridge collapses,  roads becoming unusable and dangerou within few months of laying. Rivers washing away roads.   Ya.. let us solve the problem of Bangladesh first everthing will fall in line.

There are other countries that have pakistan origin players.  Moeen Ali, Adil Rashid, Usman Khawaja. What are we going to do about them?  I know quiet a few guys who conned us  in some property issues also happened to be Hindus  lol So i am not going to blindly back guys because theya re Hindus. That would be stupid. I just look at each person as Individuals.  Mohammad siraj is a muslim should we stop supporting him beacuse he is not a Hindu?   I don't care if someone is Hindu or not.

Did i say you stop supporting indians, lol where did you get that. When i say hindus, i am referring yo hindus and definitely other minorities in bd, pak.

I think you and I had several discussion before where I established that religion plays zero part in my life. So no, am not triggered by Hindu/Muslim, etc. I find religion silly and people fighting over it not normal or sane. The point is there is a WC in February. This issue was present even when ind allowed their prime minister to seek refugee there so should have told ipl to not list any BD players like they did with pak. Now BCCI looks idiotic. And again, if you guys feel so strongly, go ask your gov to give refugee status to those in danger? I also sh*t talked about those supporting Palestine (who are getting killed in 100's a day), no one seemed to have defended them? Them too are people too right? Lol

Just for an FYI, lots of illegal Indian lunatic is causing serious crimes, including killing here in Canada - especially in Brampton. Should Canada impose the same treatment on India for these 'indian' lunatics?

Yes why not if you conduct crime in foreign country yoo are on their mercy. BTW good thatvyou dont care you should bother about canada. Let indian government and resident  indianhandle what is best for india.

Those are my concerns too. Its the job of media and opposition too to raise such things.

However in this case better sense has prevailed

Why do you think that is neutral opinion?

Because it has come from "West"...the lands of whites. Who are heavily biased towards their own selfish gains.

This also explains a huge flaw in Indian Warfare...there is no credible news agency which can push our narrative.

Main issue with BD is they are harboring Pak based terror groups who can launch attacks any day. Hasina clamped down on anti-India terror elements.

Ban on BD players, no cricket policy etc. I fully support. But we always get our messaging wrong, and aren't tactful. BCCI should have never allowed them in the auction citing visa issues. Or even better, allowed them and instructed all IPL franchises not to bid for them. We are being portrayed as the bad guys in this saga, as petty people, when we are the victims of our rabid neighbors.

That is cop out. Whay didn't BCCI show same response when Srilanka was committing genocide in srilanka against Tamils?

What SL did was wrong....Congress/DMK enabled that genocide btw.

But BD/Pak case is different, their soil is used to launch terror attacks in India, drugs, human trafficking, in case of BD, there is the illegal immigration angle, and our BSF jawans losing their lives.

Also Rajiv Gandhi did a mistake by sending IPKF to SL. With BD, India not only liberated them but have always been friendly and protective even when BNP/Jamaat coalition was in power. But not one ounce of gratitude in those people. Count yourself lucky if you have never interacted with a Bangladeshi in real life.

WOrld media is what i am talking about.  It is not how we rate ourselves matters. It matters how we are perceived around the world...

https://www.hrw.org/world-report/2025/country-chapters/india#5dfeca

"Attacks on Religious and Ethnic Minorities, Dalits, and Tribal Groups Prime Minister Modi’s electoral campaign frequently used hate speech against Muslims and other minorities, inciting discrimination, hostility and violence against them. Between June and August, there was a surge in violence by Hindu vigilantes, assaulting Muslim men on suspicions of consuming beef or transporting cattle for slaughter. In August, local Hindus in Haryana killed a 26-year-old Muslim migrant worker from West Bengal for allegedly consuming beef. In Maharashtra, a 72-year-old Muslim man was harassed and beaten on a train over suspicions of carrying beef. In August, Hindu vigilantes shot dead a 19-year-old Hindu teenager, suspecting him of being Muslim and smuggling cows...........

Agenda pieces. For them, India and Afghanistan are same wrt treatment of minorities, when there are none left in Afg.

Non-Muslim population in BD has fallen from 22 to 7% in the last 4 decades....Buddhists are on the verge of extinction, Christians/Sikhs completely wiped out or converted. Muslim population in Bengal, Assam has risen from 10-15 to 35-40% in Bengal and Assam since 1971.

India, BJP may have faults but when it comes to tolerance, treatment of minorities, the worst of India is better than the best of Turkey/Azerbaijan/Indonesia/Malaysia, never mind Pak, BD.

Having said the above, SRK has a nack of picking Pak and BD players in his team. In first edition of IPL, most Pak players and even mediocre BD players like Mashrafe & Tamim were in KKR. Then in 2014, he picked 38 year old Azhar Mehmood as soon as he got his British passport. :hatsoff:

Utter garbage, he is adored by millions here and he is supporting Hindu genociders. Piece of ****

Wish CAA had included Lankan Tamils as well. Still many lunatic Sinhalese extremists there torturing Tamils and destroying centuries old Hindu temples.

BJP/Modi blundered there by focusing just on Afg, Pak, BD, though these Islamic states are a different level of crazy. By including oher parts of South Asia, the message could have been more inclusive. Many here don't know about the ethnic cleansing of Lhotshampa people from Bhutan, all Hindus...25% of their population driven away just like that, and even today, GOI never mentions it. PR for Bhutan and their monarchy is crazy.

I have no problem fighting against Bangladesh over infiltration. But that is not what this is about, right?  This Fiz issue happens right after a worker who happened to be Hindu was killed.  What can we do at best? I am not sure what India can do here.  Will Adani cut electricity to Bangladesh? I guess not.  They reduced it only when the payment was not made. Now it is fully paid. They have restored electricity. Whatever we do using cricket is just a smokescreen. It is not going to solve any problem. If anything it may make things worse. SO not sure what our end goal is.

Gaslighting is the tactic i see going around the world. Trump started it. If you raise an issue. Just create 10 different issues and divide your attention. It is sad so many are focusing on useless topics.

I agree with you. Our messaging has been confused. We haven't made political decisions, instead hiding behind cricket. Modi hasn't once opened his mouth about BD, Jaishankar is going there and posing with BNP leaders, Pak speaker, supply of eggs, rice and other essential items hasn't reduced. Nothing about sending back illegals.

That is my issue with this response, which @raki05 is probably misunderstanding. I have no sympathy for Bangladeshis, just want better response from Indian side, especially in areas that matter and can actually teach them a lesson.

Right step after Sindoor would have been boycotting Asia Cup or playing it in India without Pakistan. Instead we played our home tournament overseas, filled PCB coffers and our so called defiance was players refusing to shake hands with Pooks. What kind of sissy response was that? And how would that hurt our enemies? PCB went laughing its way to the bank, Naqvi managed to score some PR victories, and we gained nothing from that episode. Children/wives of Pahalgam victims, army veterans came on TV crying, pleading for us to not play Pakistan with wounds so fresh....and we came up with 'no handshake' policy, wtf was that?

Many BJP supporters put their party and leaders above Indian army, country.....justify anything and everything. Cult like behavior should always be opposed. There is this cult tendency cutting across party lines and ideologies, but who is in power right now?

Those all were bad moves no one endorsed that. I dont go by social media as i am not active on twitter. Coming to icf hardly anyone supported that bjp moves. All i am saying is when mustafizur is bought in during auction everyone making fun here why they allowed mustafizur and now that he has been thrown out than also there is problem. This thread was about mustafizur and ipl we all know there was huge uproar after everything going on in bd. So sending him back is not wrong ideally he should have never been allowed. Same goes with biletral ties i belive GOI should have taken harsher action at biletral level by now i have raised this point in another bd theead in chit chat section. So not sure whats the confusion.

Yup. We look like the bad guys after every mishap like this. And we also look very weak. If ICC proceeds with request from BD, we will look like fools. It will be a logistical nightmare. If this is what BCCI's stance in the future they better stop hosting international events.

Exactly.  IN almost all the episodes were the ones who looked bad. Especially SOuth African team was very vocal about uncertainty of where they will play next match.
