Its about losses, Iran can cause significant damage to Pakistan before going down. Then there is BLA, TTP militias, who too will cause dent to Pak military heavily. Pak, despite powerful cant use its full capability as he cant risk bordr with India. Pakistan's strength is concentrated in Punjab & Sindh. KPK and Balochistan are under powered. Yes. Pakistan is prone to ethnic conflict. Iran can encourage that. singhvivek141 1
MK55 Posted March 14 Posted March 14 Someone needs to put some sense in Iran right now. With Kharg on the verge of collapse, that’s their entire economy. Things can get dramatically bad. It’s an unwinnable situation for them. They can make all these claims of fighting back but the simple fact of the matter is that they just don’t have the capability. If this keeps going for another week, they will be digging themselves an even bigger hole. kepler37b 1
MK55 Posted March 14 Posted March 14 (edited) So what’s likely to happen now - since running out of targets to hit (and if no diplomatic intervention) and since Kharg is a bargaining chip now 1: Focus will soon shift almost entirely to escorting at least one ship by the navy sometime this month. 2: If that passes oil premium is gonna collapse immediately. 3: But if in the rare scenario it gets intercepted - Iran’s economy (whatever’s left) will be wiped out. This will delay the proceedings and then second attempt will happen after some days. Either ways it’s a matter of time Also expecting more diplomatic dialogues from Europe with Iran meanwhile. IRGC isnt gonna listen to any president and are currently acting as per their own mind. Iranian Army can still be controlled, but IRGC has gone nuts after the death of supreme leader. US and Israel have to reach out to each leader of those 30 odd divisions of IRGC and bring them on the table. In short, just like Afghanistan had several militia's like Northern Alliance, Taliban and others...Iran too has now same status. And blame goes to US for the same.

Lone Wolf Posted March 14 Posted March 14 The problem is Island is barely 20 miles from the mainland. Artillery strikes would be enough forget about missiles. Amphibious invasions alway invite mass casualties ravishingravi 1

They need to take inspiration from Rolls Royce and become something else. I know we're a risk averse society, but now is the time to pump more efforts on RnD as you never know which war will put what sanctions on whom.
