They see a gora and decide to empty their vaults..

not even that, they almost didnt bid for the no 1 T20i bowler in the world,i dont think these teams use any strategy or watch all the players in the auction.

Super 8 was not needed. Should have had QFs, SFs, Final. Needlessly elongated the tournament so much.

ICC wanted more revenue from broadcast partners.QFs, SFs, Final would have made group matches so much interesting.

If Aus loses this one, SL v Aus could be a virtual KO on 16th in Pallekelle @Gollum

Game of the tournament potentially with high stakes.

You are making that thread right?

@Nikhil_cric is making tomorrow's NZ-RSA.

Zim-Aus should have been a separate thread. I had the thought at the back of my mind that this could be an interesting contest. Would have made a thread had I followed it today, got occupied with deadlines and ****.

Told  you so @Gollum I'm not worried about Australia.

Let them get knocked out of the tournament. I won't rest easy unless it is official. They are capable of somehow winning the trophy with their B game, always best to knock them out early.

Saala Head only torments Indian bowlers. Becomes chump otherwise.

Also Poms. Won his team 2 Ashes already with his monster performances.

Now upto Lankans to knock them out.

Zimbabwe will replace Australia in our group in Super 8 if they qualify.

Though if SL gets knocked out then Zim will move to Pakistan's group in Super 8 and stay in SL

Wanindu Hasaranga ruled out of T20 World Cup with injury

An MRI scan has revealed a serious tear in his left hamstring

Big blow to Lankans. Don't see them competing without this guy.

I like pitches where 160-180 is a competitive total.Bowlers are also have a chance if they bowl well.

Pitches have been nice even in India.Dew has not screwed up the matches.Hope it remains like that for next few weeks.

We must be smart when playing in RPS. Forget about 200+, just be pragmatic and run hard between wickets, maneuvre the ball. I think even 150 will be a comfortable winning score there. Kohli taught the world how to bat on such surfaces, Tilak will be key this time.

PP maximization important though. Rein it in later.

Sikandar Raza said that's why they wanted Bennett to bat through. He said that if they tried too hard to get 190, they would've collapsed to 140.

Very astute planning and batting

I don't believe they are as potent a threat in t20s. They have won only 1 T20 cup, that too 5 years ago, when even west indies and England have 2.

Yeah, Afridi is a weak link. Rip him apart in PP. Then we can just knock it around till death overs.

Yeah. Forcing the tempo on these sluggish tracks almost always backfires.
