rollingstoned Posted February 9 Posted February 9 1 hour ago, Tillu said: Why can't the ICC and BCCi be a little transparent in their dealings which will put an end to all these speculations. Why don't they provide a game by game revenue breakup of all the teams playing in a tournament. Congress showed more spine in banning their players from IPL and the bilateral series. I am starting to believe this would have never happened under the current government who are just washing away their hands with overtly superficial things like no handshake policy. That only happened because Pakistani themselves overestimated their importance and didn't send their players for the third ipl edition. They thought it couldn't possibly go on without them. Ipl owners lost trust and decided not to bid for them ever again. Not sure why you want blow by blow information in the form of press release to know what is going on. No one else can control the delusions that padosi suffer from or be responsible for them. ismeij bhi log er karne ke liye bahane dhund lete hai. mishra 1

Infact diametrically opposite. kangloos have learned the lesson after siding with PCB during Sashank Manohohars ICC days that instant money in ICC earnings share can result in loos (like they could have been co host) Edited February 9 by mishra Frustrated, raki05 and putrevus 3
deathmonger Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Apparently PCB guys want to play but Naqvi wants to boycott. Remember he was humiliated live on TV in the AC final. Stood there, listening to booing while Indians collected their medals. So a bit personal for him. raki05 1
RajBan Posted February 9 Posted February 9 For once Indian fans supporting PCB and not BCCI on their stance to boycott. Hope PCB sticks to that decision and dotn disappoint us. raki05 1

Norman Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Man I'm really really really tired of all this drama... This World Cup has had a fantastic start with some brilliant games but could not enjoy any of it because of this chaddi baniyan drama by the desi boards.

Quote Among all the demands (that the PCB officials kept ahead of the representatives from the apex body), the significant ones include resumption of bilateral ties with India, an increase in the revenue share and ensuring that no handshake episode ever happens again. ICC is just trying to ensure Pakistan doesn play India. Only issue is: In their contract they have signed with broadcasters is to ensure a India Pakistan fixture in ICC tournaments. This contract was before Jay Shah. However , I am sure Jay Shah is better off giving a discount to broadcasters. I am confindent, Jay Shah is trying to limit the value of discount to zero. Thats my take. Anyone thinks Jay Shah is trying to placate PCB is living in Lahori world Edited February 9 by mishra raki05 1
mishra Posted February 9 Posted February 9 BTW, It wasnt a coincidence that Imran Khwaza was choosen to represent ICC in the talks with PCB BCB ICC. Imran Khwaza will try his best to get what is good for Singaporean cricket. And to him the best outcome will be that ICC do not entertain PCB and BCB so that atleast one spot is created for Singapore Cricket in future tournaments. raki05 and jf1gp_1 2

This wouldn't be a problem if like the old days we had only one in 2-3 yrs at best. We are having 2 every year sometimes now so everytime this charade has to play out. We had 3 matches in under a month in the Asia cup just a few months ago. The whole thing is a sham. They're not even good sporting contests and just end up being one sided affairs,

He decided to go to Pakistan to represent Bangladesh as he knew he cant trust PCB. As iCC Administrator, your job is to kill mutiny and not reward it. Mutiny is being spearheaded by Pakistani. So they must not be seen getting anything. Nxt is ensure their is a cost to mutiny so a message is delivered. So here is my take, PCB sacrificed BCB and BCB realised it late. Now BCB is given opportunity to sacrifice PCB. Thats the game
putrevus Posted February 9 Posted February 9 If ICC gives in to their demands, what is the guarantee that these guys will not repeat the same nonsense again in other tournaments.

It's not as simple as the ICC giving in to their demands. The ICC is a body not a person. All the boards will have to vote on it. Like we saw in the Bangladesh vote, when push comes to shove they will vote with their wallets. No one will agree to increase Pakistan or Bangladesh's percentage shares which in effect reduces their own. Bangladesh doesn't have any cards. Pakistan's only card is their participation in the India-Pak game on Sunday which they think demonstrates their value. My sense is most other boards would lean towards calling their bluff on it.

Exactly, these sobs are so opportunistic, it was never about BCB or Bangladesh. Before tomorrow's match they should get the affirmation otherwise just kick them out.Bite the bullet and compensate the broadcasters and move on. I would have done before their first match itself. mishra 1

I understand ICC is not single entity. But BCCI and other boards can vote to kick out PCB from tournament just like they did in case of BCB. As you said other boards are calling their bluff but if they give in nothing will change in PCB. PCB is full of beggars their whole entity is based on begging for bigger share. They won't change, today it will be for one demand tomorrow it will be for another demand. The tournament has started very well with lot of good matches, this nonsense has taken limelight away from the matches. They cannot keep having this headache over every tournament India is hosting in future. A large part of their delusion is that they think the value of broadcast deals stuck by the ICC is largely just India vs Pak matches and that if they stop facilitating these games the ICC will panic because they will take a huge commercial hit. So they think they can hold the ICC hostage to their participation in these games. That myth has been allowed to take hold in the past but the modern reality is that there is far more high quality product out there for broadcasters to target than just India-Pak non contests. Take the Nepal - England game yesterday for example. If India-Pak games disappear which they should do by all accounts, the market will adjust and the world will move on with Pakistan even more peripheral than it is today. Edited February 9 by lemsip

PCB is made of Pakistanis , so it is not suprising at all. their whole country is made of these delusional idiots who always have overestimated their importance . 2008 they tried to hold IPL hostage with NOC drama, IPL has moved on to bigger and better things without them. Once this match is off the table their whole existence will ease to exist.ICC will move on too.
