Such a poor location for a strategic asset. If Pak get's a supersonic missile tomorrow, they can destroy it in seconds.  I will not suggest Modi of regionalism, but some actions of his govt reek of that. This should have been somewhere in Odisha OR in eastern MP.

Assuming China already has the missiles that you mention. Orissa is far closer to them than Gujarat.

 

The Government would have designed sufficient anti missile systems in place. The kind we saw in action during Operation Sindoor.

 

We can’t not develop border states with strategic military/ space installations because we are scared of war. We should develop them so that our assets are deployed or semi deployed near the border even when we are at peace.

 

Reliance has a huge refinery at Jamnagar.

1. Reliance is an economic asset. It is not a strategic one. It does not store our strategic oil reserves. 

2. It is being prudent and minimize the possibility of damage. Not being scared of war.  Look at the location of our defence ordinance factories. None of them are in border states(https://www.edudwar.com/list-of-ordnance-factories-in-india/)

3. Orissa is still farther from China than Gujarat from pakistan. 

4. Spaceport is not an economic asset. It is an militiary/strategic asset.  With advent of space militarization crippling a space port will jeopardize the combat ability. All other spaceports are in deep south for a reason.

They spent 300 crores and 10 years to create this ugly monstrosity. Should rename this to Statue of disbelief as Lord Shiva really looks in utter shock and disbelief due to the poor craftsmanship.

 

The Shiva statues in Kerala, Murudeshwar and Isha Yoga centre are still the better statues with good aesthetics.

If the money is private investment like the Statue of Unity, it will pay for itself.

Hindu social culture is that based on shame(Log kyaa kahengee), inspite of the holy books teaching us to follow a honour based one.  That allows greed and graft when no one is noticing.

 

All these people look well fed and look very middle class.

Somewhere read 63 people lost their lives in this monsoon. Barely even reached its peak. 

 

Need an internal operation Sindoor but of course won't happen. 

 

Pretty sure TV media won't cover it extensively too.
