With teams looking to pick 170 Indian players including a mix of experienced and upcoming ones, the question is not necessarily will they be picked but which team(s) they will end up with due to auction dynamics.

Here is where talent scouting comes into play. No way with all those T20 leagues happening all over India, teams couldn’t scout players to replace them . Also it’s weird all 3 end up on the same side.

You are being theoretical. Unless you think talent is readily available to replace experienced players in a pool of 170 players. The teams do scout and pick these guys despite that for a variety of reasons.

Doing well in domestic level and translating that immediately in IPL is an exception. Teams do play talented youngsters where possible otherwise Suryavabshi would not get chances. The issue is that there are not enough of them to replace experienced players in a single go.

The whole squad is formed as if it was 2018-2020, the idea of this teams is based on OS big players will play majority role and domestic player will chip-in.

The times have changed now Ind/domestic players are in the majority role and OS players have to chip-in

They have a captain who is retired frm Intnl cricket and only played test cricket. Then washed-up players like Manish has he ever been good t20 player and Saini ???

Tripahit was good for sometime, but his days are up too

Then add rinku, raman <-- have they improved at all ??? Rinku only had 1 good IPL season.

Can not even rejig this side and hope this new talent can be good, every-other option is worse than previous one , All this team is hoping for OS players to perform through-out

IPL has changed a lot in the last two years after impact sub. Some managements are yet to grasp it

Most teams have some issue, even the top teams right now are not that good. Only complete and balance sides are rcb, MI ,PK and if Srh sorts bout their bowling they will be there. but kkr have issue of diff level, even after having bad season they can not say let figure out next season all they have players past prime or with low ceiling

Rr does nt have batting after Vaibhav+ Jaiswal then its their bowling

Lsg rishab is key issue, his sr is 130 (last season as well it was under 135) can not fit him any where, he just puts brake to the momentum and hence pooran is underused and  thats why their batting potential is not fully used.

csk- rutu is a issue plus middle order which is working now, may be open with Urvil+ Sanju+ Ayush and then send in Rutu, this may result in dropping sarfarz

Dc is good but their opening does not have what other teams have may be get  Shail in top3

kkr just donot have batting options , all the other players are washed=up or never performed or just has 1 good season, the only guy they can try is dhaiya he can open or play in lower middle order replace rinku or raman

DC is run by jindal & gmr on sharing basis.. this team will never become better

MI has lost it.. their TM & famed scouts haven't found a single good indian player in last few years( except tilak ).. they have to wait for next auction.

CSK feels like a better team than MI

kkr lost lot of bowlers so we can sympathize but their choice of captain who eats up the opening slot is bizarre

LSG will always have issues due to their boss.

IPL has become young and indianized and most teams have not understood it

Lsg-- Sure captains and owners have/had some drama, but it has found the best talent so far -- Mayank, Mukul. Mohsin, Rathi... If fit most of them are Ind potential  .

The issue here is choice fr the captain <-- rishab and rahul both are not suited t20 and does not inspire much confidence into the team , but fame and name will always be a factor over the role in Ind cricket

DC- can be good, but with KL as main gig fr Ind battter in any side that to in top3 , the team will always remain a middle level side.

MI-v.accurate assessment, posted something on similar lines on other thread

Uncapped talent is outclassing the seniors. From the tuk tuk approach of Gill and Ruturaj to the inconsistent form of Kela rahane pant these established players are becoming a liability to the IPL’s high-octane brand
