The other thing that will go against him is when he plays proper t20 sides, with big hitter. Most will play him like a fast off-spinner and hit it to legside. The issue that Varun is facing is same, strong t20 batter are playing him on back-foot and hitting him on legside with cross batted shot. And this tactics is playing off. As he is not a big spinner and is v.accurate with line and length batters already know that it is going to target off-stump or with-in the stump so strong t20 batters(mostly all sena batters) are playing cross-batted shots deepdynamo 1

Arya is the real deal but Prabhsimran is someone who'll flatter to deceive. Yeah, partially agree but then we are spolit for choices for quality T20 batters. We have plenty of them. Ultimate_Game 1

His ceiling was T20 WC 2026 at home. Its done & dusted and we are champions. We don't necessarily have to stick with Varun for the next world which is good 3 years away. He was able to help us win 2025 CT where we were without Bumrah and this WT20 where he was the highest wkt taker. If you look back at his career few years from now, in hindsight he would be a success. He was able to deliver for his team and help win ICC tourneys, especially from where he started from. People may think he's not good enough but he had had a pretty successful career and delivered more than much more touted bowlers like Chahal. I'll always remember Varun fondly and doff my hat to what he was able to do. Extra points for putting that piece of shyte Abrar in his place with the Tea and Cup trolling Edited April 6 by Ultimate_Game Manucrick, deepdynamo, bouncers and 1 other 1 3

Vaibhav Suryavanshi .. Surreal hitter. Mayank Yadav .. Walks in if he retains his 150 k+ pace with accuracy and bounce. Kartik Tyagi .. Skilful at 145 k+. Y.Jaiswal .. Better than many playing T20Is for India. Riyan Parag .. Don't waste his talent. Can bowl spin too. Our cup runeth over

But I would expect Iyer to get in ahead of Patidar and also to captain the team. Edited April 7 by Ultimate_Game tapandrun and deepdynamo 2

But how? Thats the question, The top ordere is packed and not going anywhere. So, ease with him againsit minnows but then he will slaughter them and make his case even stronger. But one thing for sure, he is ready. Priyansh Arya- He is also ready for T20s, will break in easily in any T20 XI. But we already have Abhishek so Arya is just a backup for now but a bloody good backup. Prabhsimran- A WK who is also an opener- A dream combo, but the probelm is we also have Samson & Ishan who does the same as well. But I have no doubt he will represnt India someday. Angrish Raghuvanshi- he can be a fine ODI & Test player, has the right technique & temprament. T20 might not be the best format for him though. Harsh Dubey- the only left arm spinner who is not a darter. Classic loop and spin with an impressive action. He can bat as well. He is my backup for Axar. Maybe an all format player. Suyansh Sharma & Vipaj Nigam- If someday we have to replace Kuldeep with a proper , these are the guy. Just for T20 only, though. Ashok Sharma- He seems raw but generally quick bowlers need to be fast tracked and if there is a bowler who require all the backing, he is the one to give him all the support. Mohsin Khan - Only in T20s but can be a good backp for Bumran and Arashdeep and can be tried out in low profile series. I was impressed by Shivang tapandrun 1

Can you imagine we have likes of Jaiswal, Sooryavanshi and a bunch of exciting youngsters waiting on the sidelines coz a bunch of 40 year olds are too difficult to be removed. They haven't learned anything from BGT 2020-21 when we beat Aus in Aus with youngsters and our transformed T20 team with youngsters ruling the roost. Yet we're persisting with has beens in ODIs express bowling 1
