I'll still say that the ideal best south indian thali consists of Andhra pappu , Tamil Nadu sambar , Kerala coconut based dry fry and Karnataka rasam.

To make murukku, yes we have something similar at home but not in use for ages.

For Murukku , we use   handheld ones. We use this for making vattshavige / idiyappam

True, I thought the non-vegetarians  will have a major bloody fight with their high protein diet. Disappointing with the low T talk.

You need to be more careful sir. Especially with the kind of stuff you usually watch, dont want that sort of "noise" being posted here

You don't need no tools to make murukku.

You just need a PaaTi who knows what she's doing:

Ya, but it is easier with a device like this

That's for muLLu murukku / Chakuli.

Kai Murukku (shaped by hand only, as in the video) is a Tamizh specialty. Fry it in coconut oil and it becomes a Palakkad specialty.

Kollukatas are usually sweet (filled with coconut and jaggery) and not savoury.

These were savoury. I know the difference.

I guess i am biased towards the konkan side, but try the "calvan" or maharashtrian fish curry (fish is usually ravas or halwa). Especially with fried bombay duck on the side. Wash it down with aam raas from alphonso mangos

Wait what?

You have Bombay Duck ( that’s Bombil right?, the silvery fish) with Aam Ras from Alphonso mangoes??
