Why would they not fit, what has age got to do with their batting. Kohli is still the best batsman and one of the fittest guys in the team.They fit just fine with the team.It is others who need to stand up and perform. 

 

They won CT in 2025 by winning semifinal and final .

 they will be 41 and 39 years old at the time of the World Cup, and at that age, reflexes won't be what they used to be. They won the Champions Trophy two years prior, but they will be playing on South Africa's fast and bouncy pitches, not on slow ones.

Kohli's avg in SA is only 76, so I think he will do just fine in SA. You carry another opener in case Rohit falters. It is that simple.

 

Bounce has never been problem for either of them.Rohit has been never been at his best in SA so having a third opener should do it.

We are talking about 38 year Kohli . Why don't you understand this point . past record has nothing to with current time.

He is 38 so what, Sachin was 38 in 2011 and he still was the best batsman in the team ,Kohli is fitter than Sachin.

 

Other than stupid perceptions they both will be fine .

Sachin played in india (2011).  This World Cup is going to happen in South Africa.  Condition matter a lot. Extra bounce milega or same reflex na hone se point, slip m easy catch. 

 

I have already issued a warning, so don't come crying if we face embarrassment in the World Cup because of Rohit and Virat. This is 100% going to happen.

South Africa would be more concerning to players like Gill or Iyer.Gill has never played odis  in SA but he was not that great in Australia.Iyer will be sitting duck unless he improves.

 

They won't be reason for India's failure.

NKR looking the seam equivalent of Jadeja right now .   His place will only be justified if he does some monster finishing.
