Keeping in mind WC SA 27, the selectors should have chosen

 

Ashok Sharma .. 6'1" .. 147 kph+

Mohsin Khan .. 6'4" .. 140 kph+

Mayank Yadav .. 6'1" .. 147 kph+

Kartik Tyagi .. 6'3" .. 145 kph+.

 

for the ongoing A-team 50 over tri-series.

 

We would have got an idea about where they stand in terms of ODI skills and fitness.

 

These Kamboj, Yash T, Yudhvir will never be successful in international cricket. 

 

I hope we have an A-series in SA soon and try these guys.

Gurnoor is still inexperienced,  he needs to play against England and feature in another series against top teams to prove he belongs at the highest level. I am not against him, but I want to see him tested further. Performing against Afghanistan is not a true yardstick.

 

His real test will come against England in England.

Agreed. I'm just hoping these guys find accuracy and  master the wobble seam quickly to be effective in all conditions.

And bad days will come on flat tracks against big teams. He may have a 0 for 75 day or two.

 

And this is where the TM will have to support Gurnoor and help him bounce back. 2 bad overs and dropped for ever, like it happened with Ashok in GT, has to be guarded against.

So again selectors are late in identifying the right pacer.

 

When the WC is in 2027...the players needs to be locked in from 2025, but selectors were Jerking off over Kambojh,  Avesh & Mukesh.

 

ODIs are played less these days, Gurnoor has to play either T20s or Tests to face challenging oppositions. This is hoping that he remains fit and doesnt get injured.

They wont give chance to mayank. Moshin is only available for ipl

You need bowlers for different phases. New ball, middle overs, death overs.  Given the fact afte r40th over ball could reverse potentiall you need someone that can do that.   Especially new ball and death over bowlers are critical.

Gurnoor has all the skill sets to be a successful fast bowler

 

He is a rookie bowler and he will bowl along with experienced Bumrah, Siraj, Prasidh etc.

 

The team management has a habit of sacrificing young player instead of experienced player.

 

Gurnoor should be supported by using his skills instead of highlighting his weakness.

 

The team management, coaches should plan ,when to bowl him,in which phase to bowl him.

Ajit Agarkar and co knows this ,but  select them only to block places in the squad.

 

Ideally Ashok should have been selected.

 

Instead of playing safe and the matches were against Afghanistan A and Srilanka A, Karthik, Mohsin could have been selected.

Fast bowlers will be the main show. We do not need a specialist spinner who cant bat.. No kuldeep kind necessary at all. Let Axar/Sundar, Jaiswal, Shreyas bowl spin as required. 6 fast bowlers, 2 AR and 7 batters (Including 2 Wk options).
