Trichromatic Posted July 10 Posted July 10 If you're playing that aggressively for 150-190 scores, then it's not worth it. No one is getting out on wicket taking delivery.

Fours, timing the ball, seeing the new ball off, seeing the most dangerous bowler (like Archer) off are all part of the method, which this team seems to have completely disregarded. Yes, already mentioned about the lack of game and why Ind should not select players from t20 wc into Odi wc as they lack the game where they can push the ball around the gaps along the ground for 2s /4s. This all comes down to lack of off side game , if they had off-side game they could have pushed the ball in the gaps, leg-side its not possible unless bowler is drifting into the pads. bowl_out 1

You mean Sai and GIll type?

Lets say a batter like verma/Kishan does not have to rely on leg-side shots only and have well developed off-side game. Though for kishan it will always be tough on extra bounce wkts. Dube adding off-side game. Or players like Sai/Gill adding the 6-hitting to their batting. Ind right now does not have complete batters for all conditions, Ind has resources to play specific players for specific conditions. Try getting players who can be naturally good for next wc. This line-up for Verma/Sanju/Kisha/Iyer/Dube/Axar are they suited for non sc/sc like conditions ???

Even guys like Ross Taylor preferred leg side mostly innOI although he has off side game.

Having basic cover/Straight drives does not cut out anymore, in t20 bowler bowls defensive line and length , so any particular area batters are not good at will be targeted and if batter can not get 4/6 in any side will force a error shot or batter wont be able get going
putrevus Posted July 10 Posted July 10 The same Geniuses who are whining about too many sixes were whining about SR and lack of six hitting till 2024. rollingstoned and Suhaan 2
mani sha Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Different grounds , different shots needed. Sky is missed. I need a 360 degree player in England . Also Indians need to play few practise games on bouncy pitches . also need pandya and reddy as allrounders in England . A good pool of seam allrounders with ability to pull and hook and play as per situation . sharma and sooryavamshi need to learn to adapt . This is first time both are on tough tours . These losses are a blessing in disguise for next wc . Wait and watch . Gambhir will get it right . Suhaan 1
