Vancouver Posted July 26 Posted July 26 (edited) I was thinking about how different Gen Z seems compared to older generations in the Indian subcontinent. Growing up, a lot of people from previous generations seemed to put a lot of importance on things like caste, skin colour, religion, and family background. But with Gen Z, it feels like many people care more about someone's personality, interests, values, and compatibility. Social media, globalization, and people mixing more through school, work, and online spaces probably played a big role in this. A lot of younger people seem less interested in old social divisions. Of course, these things haven't completely disappeared. Family expectations and traditions are still strong in many places, especially when it comes to marriage. But do you think Gen Z is the first generation in the subcontinent that is genuinely moving past these old boundaries? Or is this only true for certain groups, like urban youth, while things remain mostly the same elsewhere? Would be interesting to hear people's experiences. Edited July 26 by Vancouver
randomGuy Posted July 26 Posted July 26 (edited) Op is sharing a video of Pakistani gen Z praising CJP. When Muslim Male Gen Z of Pakistan, Bangladesh etc. be fine with their sisters marrying Hindus and Sikhs if that means having Hindu/Sikh babies, then we can say they have ignored religion. Short of that, these topics are meant to brainwash Indian young generation. Caste, skin color to hum bhi nahi dekhte as urban millennials. Edited July 26 by randomGuy coffee_rules and singhvivek141 2
Real McCoy Posted July 26 Posted July 26 This article is from BBC. Anything that comes out of it is just propaganda. I would advise all Indians irrespective of race, creed, skin colour, generational differences, etc to stay away from it. I call it the British Brainwashing Corporation. Even the brits are sick of the leftist propaganda put forth by it. Lord and randomGuy 1 1
kepler37b Posted July 26 Posted July 26 These people are considering a generation limited to a economic class and region and then are extrapolating. This is lazy journalism 101. GenZ is there beyond urban areas and beyond the reasonable affluent class.

They won't do Ghar vapsi lol.. it will always have abrahmaic foothold. Pak fought all major wars with us prior to Zia Ul Haq. They were economically, diplomatically a very stable country back then. There was little to no internal strife in Pak like we saw post Zia ul Haq. Right now they have no institutions of note. No hope, no chance for any sort of industrialisation or any investment. It perfectly suits India. Edited July 26 by Lone Wolf

Extremist For dividing and causing in-fighting, you may say radical pakistan, but Indians would eventually prefer least radical obviously. And there have been instances of reconversion... spain had once become Muslim majority then reconverted. Regarding Mewat etc in india from AI - "The events people often associate with Nuh and the mass readiness to convert actually took place in the early 1920s. This movement was spearheaded by Swami Shraddhanand, a fierce disciple of Swami Dayanand's teachings, under the banner of the Bhartiya Hindu Shuddhi Sabha. In 1923, a massive Shuddhi drive began targeting the Malkana Rajputs (near Agra/Mathura) and the Meo Muslims of Mewat (including Nuh). The Reconversion Wave: Thousands of Meo Muslims were reportedly ready to, and did, undergo the Shuddhi ritual to become Hindu again. They felt the Arya Samaj finally offered them a dignified entry back into Hinduism without the barrier of rigid caste exclusion." Edited July 26 by randomGuy

Ghar vapsi cannot be implemented mass scale without virtual defeat of Abrahmaic and Islamic ideas and powers in the world... It's just the way it is right now in the world. That brings us to your point 2... Extremely dangerous prospect. You are getting industrial capability and robust systems being put into place while Pak de facto is still an enemy nation with a sizeable population. The South Asian muddle will only worsen for us. Irani one is somewhat impossible as it is not Caste based... Pak is by and large a caste based Islamic country. Rajput Jat, Gujjar, Arain and a fraction of Syeds occupy the societal prominence. Extremist is current state, a failed state & economy which lacks sufficient funds and means to harm India in a way it really intends to. It's own frontiers aren't secure and with growing population they will be lacking resources and its bound to get worse in coming decade. Edited July 26 by Lone Wolf

India’s problem was Nehru and his socialist policies. This put India much backward. The industry struggled. She destroyed our little manufacturing whatever we had and had ugly spats with US. So much for being non aligned.

What happened after that could have been avoided. They went with the western way ultimately with the IT and service sector.. it was a short term gain no doubt but in the long run we never had any base left to industrialise. Fortunately for us Pooks sunk to a record low as well. Edited July 26 by Lone Wolf
coffee_rules Posted July 26 Posted July 26 (edited) Nothing new about JenG. It had already started in the Gen X Time itself, especially in urban areas. It is widespread among millennials, who don’t care about caste, skin color, etc. they are the ones voting for BJP since 2014. Edited July 26 by coffee_rules Lord and singhvivek141 2
