Naman Dhir and Aquib Nabi being picked for the ODIs is strange I thought Arshad Khan would be in the plans after the Sri Lanka series He’s a good fielder a left arm quick and can bowl 140+ Naman’s selection feels like the Badoni selection from a few series ago

Auqib is a good pick for ODIs - had a good vht last season even scored a century.. BUT, he will just be warming the bench, and would be much better off playing for India A Vs Australia A... Especially with NZ tour not far

 

I like Dhir pick, lower order finisher who can bowl , we don't have many of those options 

 

The one I am fed up of seeing in ODI is Jadeja. He stopped being a good ODI player many years ago. His bowling is easy milking now and he was never a good ODI bat. Axar is in T20 squad but could have picked Manav.. I don't understand the preference for Jadeja over Axar in ODI anyway

Dhir can bowl good for number 6 but the question is is he a international materiel and don't think aquib got the speed for international

How did Naman Dhir leapfrog everyone to make the ODI squad?

If anything, DDP should have made the squad. Why add another RHB to an already RHB heavy line up?

world cup begins in Oct/Nov which is very early for their season.. we might see a repeat of 2022 T20 world cup which was played during same periods in Aus and the ball kept swinging throughout ( Sam Curran was unplayable )  Not good news for Indian batsmen.

No Rinku anywhere. They picked him randomly for Zim series and dropped again. I get player rotation policy, but it doesn't seem grounded in any concrete strategy.

That was a total bolt out of the blue. Naman Dhir has only played 14 List-A matches and not done anything of note. Defies logic.

Naman Dhir? They've really cheapened an India call-up. I thought the ODI squad would be the hardest to get into.
