Anakin Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 He's not even that good in T20s either. Irfan is much better than him on any given day.
WeStMiDz Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 I wonder if a promotion given to YP to a higher batting slot will make any difference? Well he has consistently flopped at number 7. Perhaps a last chance saloon at number 3 or even opening the innings would be worth a go.
kabira Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 he is T20 specialist and if he is in ODI he has to bat in last 10 overs, he does not know any other way to bat. For him batting is all about sixes. He is type of guy who can change a game in 5 overs
coffee_rules Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 I wonder if a promotion given to YP to a higher batting slot will make any difference? YP at #3 would have won the match in 30 overs today. He would not have blocked and won the match like Rani in Dil Bole Hadippa!
ViruRulez Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 I would advise to kick out Yusuf and test both Nayar and Irfan .. whoever is better can take his spot.. anyways a lot of players will lose their spots once Yuvi, Veeru and Zak returns
sharma Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 might as well groom bhajji's batting and get in mishra. dhoni needs to come up the order n blast his way to a quick 50, or wait till dravid is out to come for batting. both together makes dhoni play his unnatural game.

Dravid was merely a safety backup in absence of two of our biggest hitters
Sachinism Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 I've been saying this for a while, the guy is over-rated. I don't mind his bowling, but even then I dont think he is good enough to get through 10 overs every game (but then again our frontline spinner isn't either) He's been given numerous chances and has failed miserably.
vvvslaxman Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 He does not have any technique to negotiate. He just closes his eyes and swings. When it connects it goes a long way. But it rarely connects. We don't want such players. Rohit Sharma is better. Atleast his only problem is temperament. Technically he is far superior to Yusuf.
veer Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 what about kohli dudes?? good fielder but his temperament is no where near international level.... gotta have rohit sharma instead... kohli lost his wicket at very crucial stage..
Params7 Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Irfan Pathan is a very mature batsman then his brother. I don't know how he wasn't even included in probable list which is absolutely pathetic. A player of Irfan's caliber not even in probable list of 30 players This is really ****ing weird. There has to be some inside politics to this.
Lord Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 so wat r the excuses now of Yusuf's supporters.he chews gum like Viv,but i doubt Viv ever looked so helpless.he has to go.Nayar deserves a chance
Temujin Khaghan Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 I think his brother would have done better second that
diegovegaz Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 nayar should be in the xi, yusuf has had enough chances and our next match being against australia, i believe mishra must play they'll struggle against him either ishant or rp will have to sit out
Lord Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 This is really ****ing weird. There has to be some inside politics to this. i think Dhoni doesnt like him.he fought with selectors to have RP over him in the Eng series even wen RP was bowling shyt.n even threatened to resign.then he didnt give him enuf chances afterwards.in T20 WC against windies,he bowled only 2 overs.irfan gave away 9 n picked up one wicket.next game he was out. OTOH Dhoni keeps selecting RP n YKP even tho they havent sone anyhing for a while
veer Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 inside politics to have irfan out but yusuf in?? hahha.. funny stuff..
desidudecool Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 i think dhoni needs to be shown the door if he keeps captaining and selecting like that..irfan and rohit sharma why on earth would you drop them ...srikanth is a stupid selector
Lord Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 i think dhoni needs to be shown the door if he keeps captaining and selecting like that..irfan and rohit sharma why on earth would you drop them ...srikanth is a stupid selector Rohit Sharma deserved to be kicked out,he wasnt performing at all.IKP should have been in
ViruRulez Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Rohit Sharma deserved to be kicked out' date='he wasnt performing at all.IKP should have been in[/quote'] but Rohit was a better overall all rounder than Yusuf for sure.. but yes with Irfan we would have got more options as we can carry one more proper bowler as he is nearly a proper bowler
desidudecool Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 irfan would have done well on this slowish wicket..hes got variations in his bowling which rp and ishant sharma dont have...and he could have batted better than his brother cause hes technically more correct
