saneindian Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Bump. Scores another superb 100 on a grassy pitch where batting has been difficult and ball has swung, seamed and there has been uneven bounce. 212* in the last game, 100 here, some more big scores and he wouldnt be too far from a place in team India. He may have so far not been able to get a place in the team but looks like his time isnt too far away. Best thing is he is quite good at ODI cricket as well and can play in the middle order as well as an opener in ODIs.
Temujin Khaghan Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 bring him in at no7 in one day cricket... yuvraj/raina/sehwag will take care of the fifth bowler quota. thats the only spot available now.
Lord Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 bring him in at no7 in one day cricket... yuvraj/raina/sehwag will take care of the fifth bowler quota. thats the only spot available now. dont think so.we need an allroundeer at 7.Dhawan at best can be a backup
JaFanatic Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 The so called hack is all set to become the fastest Indian to reach 2000 runs in ODIs :two_thumbs_up:
kumar713 Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 The so called hack is all set to become the fastest Indian to reach 2000 runs in ODIs :two_thumbs_up: :omg:
JaFanatic Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 He would have toured SL earlier this year (or was it last year?) had he not got injured and Virat taken his place. Blessing in disguise :D
Forever Indian Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 He is very much a hand-eye coordination player like Viru, so when in form can string together some big scores but when in a rut can come across as a pure hack. Not at all suited for Tests with his technique, will fail most times overseas. in ODIs I think he will be handy when in form.
jf1gp_1 Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 is there anyone in the current team who hasn't been called a hack on ICF ?

JaFanatic Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Hack is now on his career best 5th rank in ODIs!
JaFanatic Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Career best 4th rank in ODIs! if only he shows this consistency in test cricket..
tweaker Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Gabba test should be last for Dhawan,if he fails there Rahul should be selected for rest of the series
Sidhoni Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 I think we will have to be patient with this new lot. He should play at Gabba but failure should not necessarily mean straightaway exclusion from next match.
ThePhenomenal1 Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 1 more test. we cant keep playing with a 10-man Xi
