Shane Bond has been ruled out of the rest of the Test series against Pakistan due to a torn abdominal muscle. Bond was the Player of the Match in the thrilling win in Dunedin, where he took eight wickets for the game in what was his first Test in two years. Bond suffered minor abdominal discomfort following the 32-run victory and scans on Tuesday revealed a one-centimetre tear in an abdominal muscle. The New Zealand team manager Dave Currie said Bond would be rested from the second and third Tests as a precaution. He is expected to recover in time for New Zealand's home series against Bangladesh early next year. The selectors are likely to name a replacement for Bond by Wednesday, with the second Test set to begin in Wellington on Thursday. The Dunedin match marked Bond's comeback to Test cricket after he was made ineligible for New Zealand selection due to his decision to play in the ICL. Bond has always been injury-prone and up until his ICL defection he had managed to play only 17 Tests in six years.

Vettori over bowled him in the match. 50 overs in a match from a 34 injury prone bowler is too much. I hope Bond gets fit & firing before the Aussies tour NZ.

Pakis will win the next 2 games easily in three days. Our delusional wunderkids from across will put them right on top and call them world beating team. From worst evr team to represent Pak ever to World beaters all in a weeks time. So sit back and enjoy these jokers.

Farhat should score a 100 here and secure his place in pak team for another 2 years :hehe:
Malik can also score a 100 and secure his place for another 5 years or maybe till Afridi turns 16 (that would take another 5-10 years at least :giggle: )

Big loss for NZ, vettori really overused him, he bowled almost 28% overs of match for his team... On the other hand yes big + for Pak, though in unfortunate manner.

Recent events indiacate that Pakistan will be celebrating a win and we will be losing the next won:((:((
Recent events also indicate that you much like the padosis have ur head stuck up your rear end.
