satishg Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 there is nothing special abt him seeing at first glance..he cud have been out for a single digit score if RP had held that catch..anyway credit to him for scoring a 100 in 20-20 which is no easy feat..wishing him all the best for a good future ahead..but still a long way to go
vvvslaxman Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Just finished watching highlights. He flat bats too much for my liking. You have to put that down as a freak innings. He is going to give you lot of chances. You gotta grab it when he gives.
Freedom Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Good sensible batting, but hez kinda little boring to watch. Even after reaching his century he was creeping with singles in 17-18 overs range. Wasn't he supposed to go ballistic at that time? Good luck kiddo! hope to see more from you.

someone Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 I just hope he does not recieve the under 23 award like last year some wicketkeeper received from the same team for just performing in the last match Remember he should have been out at 2, so let the hype go and let him work harder and good luck to him
rkt.india Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 B'lore boy? His name sounds U.P-ish, or is it Bihar? he is originally from uttarakhand, like DHoni too
rkt.india Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 catches dropping is part and parcel of the game, but its the temperament that matters most, sehwag too gives a lot of chances but u cant rule him out at any time, its about ur ability and skills. when sehwag scored 300, he was dropped quite a few times so we cant take the credit from him to make that 100.
Lord Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 he scored 114 of RCB'S 170 if RP had taken that catch.we would have been in S/F:--D On a serious note, freak innings.it was his day.he kept slogging n it kept coming off.anyways one for the future ,but not yet a contender for senior team.anyways good 100.too bad stupid SET MAX didn't show his celebrations n showed ads
Shane Posted May 22, 2009 Author Posted May 22, 2009 he scored 114 of RCB'S 170 if RP had taken that catch.we would have been in S/F:--D :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: Yes, it was a freak innings, but atleast we have someone to keep an eye on during the next domestic season.

vipin Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Lets not get too excited. It was his 3rd game and he will be figured out eventually. But having said that hes definitely a great prospect.
gaurav92 Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 he was dropped on 2 but hey after that he didnt even gave a smell of a chance to the chargers and made them pay for it...well done manish and of course take a bow
amits Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 he might have been dropped on 2, but he made 112 runs after that without giving a single chance. look at that 1st before overhyping the dropped catch
Sachinism Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 I wasn't impressed with his 100, but he batted superbly today, played some gorgeous strokes rather than slogging to leg
amits Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 Manish Pandey - U LEGEND !!! what a player:two_thumbs_up: his team was in a high pressure situation at 22/2 & he follows his 114* with a well made 48 under pressure even playing the csk spinners well. he showed no signs of success getting to his head & was cool throughout get him in the indian odi & 20/20 team now
fineleg Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 ^ he cannot get into the squad "now" amits - he needs to get into the domestics and be consistent there. Good talent, very happy for him.
diegovegaz Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 played well it was upto him to follow up the century in the previous game 48 in such a crucial game, all credit to him, may he shine tomorrow as well
vvvslaxman Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 Amits.. can we replace Sehwag or Gambhir with Pandey? or is that a trick question.
coffee_rules Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 From U-19 circuit. WIll screw CSK's party in the semi finals now... Bump...
