GOW is much better than barfi, but the academy sometimes turns a blind eye to non-westernized movies. They don'tunderstand the milieu, setting and the background of GOW. I doubt whether GOW would ve been nominated.

Barfi selection was pre planned, UTV bribed the federation. The release date was quite near oscar selection. The movie atleast did 20 to 25 core more and 10-12 core Worldwide at BO because of the oscar entry hype.

Compared to regular fare from Khans and Akshays, this was miles ahead.

I don't understand which movie is Oscar worthy. Was Chicago/Crash/Les Miserables worth oscars? Oscar itself is not worthy of being an indicator of quality movies. Yes, PSTomar was better than Kahaani as an Oscar nomination compared to the stupid Barfi.
