Jersey #10 Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Mithun has shown terrific resistance and quality batting talent in the past three tests. Can he be the spot 7 all-rounder for India?
Clarke Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 but who will do the bowling part:hysterical: now thats just rude .. he could be much better on SA/Eng wickets for all u and i know. Even if he can hold up one end, it helps the #6 or the last batsman standing score more runs.
Lord Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 his bowling looks worse than Mathews, pretty gritty bat though
Andy Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Now please dont make him IKP -2. Let him concentrate on his bowling.
Lord Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 He has bowled well without much luck. no,hes bowled harmlessly, hes very limite bowled bowler, only slants it in to righties n away from lefties, lefties can easily keep leaving unless he comes around the wicket n he tries way too many sort balls for someone bowling 130ks
vvvslaxman Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Don't know if he is an all rounder. But he seems so assured and confident about his batting ability. He backs himself. Also pretty gutsy. Excellent body language. Can inspire confidence in his partner.
vvvslaxman Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Mithun is good' date=' but Irfan Pathan is better.[/quote'] Imagine both bowling well. Irfan at no.8.
achilles Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Imagine both bowling well. Irfan at no.8. Yes. Would be great. But Irfan's gotta be up the order I feel. He can bat for his life. Also, if these 2 become regulars, the RPs, Munaf's and Sreesanth's of this country will be out of the reckoning for quite a while.
achilles Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 deserved a 50 today.got robbed bu blind Tucker:mad: Yes. Playing 150 odd deliveries is outstanding for a genuine bowler.
King Tendulkar Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Imagine both bowling well. Irfan at no.8. That requires one hell of an imagination
Hell Raiser Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 all rounder... too early to say. He needs to work very hard on his bowling. Some of his deliveries doesn't even reach Dhoni and he just swings the ball in one direction. But can be very handy batsman to have down the order.
bharathh Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 We need bowlers.. if he can bat great... but let him not be chosen for his batting. We have batsmen to do that job. It will be good if he can get a few wickets.
putrevus Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 He need to do take wickets and stop bowling this ridiculous short pitch balls.
