Surely inching closer to that number 6/7 spot in the batting lineup for the WC. The fact that he can keep/open/play at no 3 if needed, means the days of DK in the ODI team could very soon be over.

He has not done more because he has not got an opportunity in recent times, has he? Ok, he got injured (his bad luck!) but now if he is fit and performing the way he is, why not give him a try too? Good to have lots of players hungry for a chance. Makes them all work hard. Why do we always have to rotate between Kohli and Rohit for ODIs? Let them feel competition from a third person. Uthappa may not be any better than Kohli but let's give him a chance to make his case.
