A spokesman for the President, who is currently on a visit to Sri Lanka has dismissed the reported insult, saying that Zardari considers King Abdullah his "elder brother". "The so called leaks are attempt to create misperceptions between two brotherly Islamic countries.

I was dissapointed a bit by the 'royal family member being rude' revelation. It was Prince Andrew about the Fraud Office and journos investigating courrution. Mehh.

Apart from the startling revealation that China is open to the idea of a unified Korea under the command of the South Koreans, pretty much most of the leaks are some people calling some other people teen-girl style ridiculous names.. :dontknow:

The US struck its first blow against WikiLeaks after Amazon.com pulled the plug on hosting the whistleblowing website in reaction to heavy political pressure. -- WikiLeaks expressed disappointment with Amazon, and insisted it was a breach of freedom of speech as enshrined in the US constitution's first amendment. The organisation, in a message sent via Twitter, said if Amazon was "so uncomfortable with the first amendment, they should get out of the business of selling books."

its a weird concept to say the least, basing a website on leaking national secrets. They would have expected being targeted n getting banned .

I liked the exposing of the Pakis and the US. Would be really sad if they have to shut the website. Meanwhile some amount of misuse of power by US to be frank in getting the Interpol to issue Assagne as most wanted. US screwed up their own first amendment laws with this. :giggle: Hope that they do not lecture anyone about ethics and democracy in the future if they cannot keep their freedom of speech and first amendment themselves. US is getting exposed gradually at a face pace in their double speak. Hope that this is a positive sign for India and we become the world leaders especially amongst democracies in the future.

India dons the hat of maturity and uber-shrewd diplomacy. The way some of our leaders get things done, we can leave any country behind if we apply ourselves and work towards realization of tangible, important goals. We are destined to be a super-power and I'm sure that bearing a lil thing here and there, we have a pretty decent diplomatic record.

they broke US laws by releasing classified information. freedom of speech only applies when you aren't breaking the law. an indian guy was arrested cause he made threads to GWB on the internet, although he wasn't serious. still it was a violation of law. not sure why you think US has to decline for India to succeed. may be you want to be friends with rogue countries like china where freedom of speech is yet to be translated into chinese.
