I first saw him in 2006 in afro-asian cup and at the first glance, i had the feeling that he can be great bowler in times to come..he wasnt a regular sa team at that time

It's a treat to watch a pace bowler in action. Esp somebody like Steyn who puts the extra effort and is among wickets. Go :brc:

Oh yeah easily the best in the world- If he retires today will he go down as one of the all time fast bowling greats, as fbm suggests? I reckon so, pretty phenomenal record in an era which the golden age for batting and 50+ averages are dime a dozen.

Brett Lee was certainly faster than steyn but lee's Strike rate and average were on higher side.

Hmm. not sure. He was faster and what Lee had in spades was real heart but nothing like Styens (or even his contemporary Akhtars) skill with the ball

What a beast !! Really. Arguably the best fast bowler in the world. He can sort out the best batsmen in the world as we saw it in India last year and now in this match in different conditions. Wonderful bowler.

There is no argument..this champ is head and shoulders above the rest of the lot..

Unquestionably the best bowler in the world right now. I feel Mohammaed Aamer/Amir (however the **** you spell his name) could have challenged him if he wasn't a corrupt **** but now Steyn is definitely the best bowler in the world. He is my favourite non-English and non-Indian player, i love watching him bowl.
