ShahidAfridi Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 He is lightning, reaching up to 148 He is one for the future alongside JD Unadkut.
Manny_Pacquiao Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 is this the kid that went for 50 off his 4 overs? pretty poor showing considering that he was facing gutless and mentally retarded paki batsmen
Malcolm Merlyn Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 Looks like Bond............am afraid he may get injured........but is pacy. As the OP said hit 148ks in his very 1st over.........so he is naturally quick.......hope he hits 150ks soon.......Pakistani batsman may have trouble with him in tests.
Serani Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 is this the kid that went for 50 off his 4 overs? pretty poor showing considering that he was facing gutless and mentally retarded paki batsmen That NZ ground is a joke, mis hits fly for 6, thats why afridi managed to get double figures.
Alam_dar Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 He is a good talent and will become only more dangerous with time (hopefully he does not follow the path of Ishant Sharma). giving 50 runs in 4 overs mean nothing. I have seen the match and can guarantee you in next match he could do the damage and go for only 20 runs in 4 overs. He has the capability for this. He will become more lethal in Tests. Nevertheless, his bowl was not swinging so much as other NZ fast bowlers.
Clarke Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 He was bowling like a teenager and hence got whacked. Southee used the pitch effectively while Mills beat the bat when he got the seam position right. This kid did not move one delivery in the process of bowling fast and hence the bowling figures.

Manny_Pacquiao Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 oh man, iwish india had a bowler that could do 148 kmph...omg thats like SOOOOOOOO PHAAAAAAAAASHT INNIT?!?!!?!!!! mahsaalllah!!! maybe if we had a bowler this phaaaasht, we could dream about bowling teams like south africa out for 131
Dravid Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 damn, copy of bond, same action, run up everything... gets the ball to come in like bond also taulent there
Online Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 I like this fellow. Don't judge him off a T20 played at a tiny ground.
Mr Eintstein Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Would've liked them to let him really settle in, play all three games. He's 18 ffs, every fast bowler gets owned at Eden "45 metre boundaries" park.
ravishingravi Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 I feel this thread might be bumped for next one month. Pak. are in for a hammering AGAIN!!
Malcolm Merlyn Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Bowled at 150ks multiple times today.has serious pace. Got taken for runs on a small ground and due to dropped catches and miss fieldings......But boy o boy he has some serious pace.
ShahidAfridi Posted December 30, 2010 Author Posted December 30, 2010 New Zealand are not doing this young lad any favours. Play on proper cricket grounds.
vayuu1 Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 to god india some day have a whole generation of genuine fast bowlers who could actually clock 95+ mph regularly please bhagwan listen to us deen dukhiyare
fineleg Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 RFC - Righarm fast crap He's 18 or 19. This is not the time to make him 'line and length'. NZ are right in just letting him bowl express pace, and all the line/length/seam/swing will come later. Fascinating that NZ are able to produce these express bowlers. If only we can do Gee-Boom-Baa on Vinay Kumar and make him express. LOL! :winky:
Pak_Forever Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 Amazing prospect. Was exciting to watch and got such a clean action, very much like Bond. He's 18 and already hitting 150k! He shouldn't fall for line and length crap, this lad should only concentrate on speed. It's really surprising, NZ is such a small country with hardly any population, and then they produce bowlers like him. He will make NZ-Pak series exciting to watch.
