In all the totally justified hype around Steyn, Kallis and Tendulkar we shouldnt ignore a super performance form this little guy. How valuable his runs have been. Job not even half done yet though... well played so far GG

More runs than any other opener despite missing a match First real test overseas and he stood up to it. Nice one man. Now hang in there...!!!

Gambhir can bat anywhere So there were doubts about Gambhir's ability to play in other places as people used to post here about how well he could bat in subcontinent. Here is your answer. an average of 60 runs per innings in South Africa on his first tour.. Just played 4 inngs. and in that he scored well in 3 of those. Today i believe he really saved the day for us. I wish he would have gotten a century today. But nevertheless, good performacne by him.

Gambhir can but Sehwag can't. Its going to worsen in England when their bowlers are going to toy with sehwag and humiliate him.

I very much doubt anyone in England can match Steyn in this series. Steyn was bowilng like a dream. He was pitching the ball on the leg stump and shaping away towards slip cordon. So many outstanding deliveries albeit Viru got out to very much survivable deliveries.

England bowlers are very overrated they will take a beating from Indian batting.Swing is never worry for indians it is the pace and bounce that worries. There is no dale steyn there

Today when he got out, and when he was going back to pavilion, my mom told me "his attitude reminds her of Sunil Gavaskar" I believe the rigidness to stay on the crease and be annoyed of yourself to get out, perhaps makes little resemblance.

mad respect to gambhir what nobody has mentioned is that the guy played THROUGH INJURY after sitting out one full day with his arm in a brace. that takes guts. he had a fantastic tour, that makes two back to back tours outside the subcon where he did really well. good to see him back in form after that bad run he had recently, its a shame he wont be around for the ODIs but its for the best

Gutsy fighter Gauti, very happy for him, question marks were there about his play against short ball but Gauti has given the answers with his bat playing some gritty innings :two_thumbs_up:

Viru just can't play the moving deliveries, he simply doesn't have the footwork. I am sure people are going to start braying about MCG and Adelaide, there was simply not the kind of movement which you expect in Nz, SAF and Eng - all three countries where he hasn't done well. He will struggle in England.
