yoda Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 You guys were really waiting for Tendulkar to fail in two consecutive matches' date=' weren't you? :giggle:[/quote'] yes, I always wait for Indian players to fail so that I can celebrate. :giggle:
Jersey #10 Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 I know it is blasphemous to ask this question on this forum' date=' but what did Sachin do the first 2 ODIs? Your obsession with one player, treating everyone else in the team as garbage is border line laughable. We don't win the WC without contribution from more than player. Same goes for this series.[/quote'] Your argument is hollow from inside out. I don't see how my obsession for Sachin has to do with the kind of line up we have in stock for the rest of the series. Although majority of the times our line up is heavily dependent on Sachin, Sehwag and Zak. You know what? you are right, Sachin did not play well during the first two games but neither did the others. 1st ODI - Sachin does very bad - India loses by a huge margin 2nd ODI - Sachin did decently well on the given track - India wins a cliffhanger (not a convincing victory) The fact - Sachin, Sehwag and Zak are the spearheads of Indian cricket ps. This is probably the best cricket forum on the net.
flamy Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Yep, should be doable. I excite abt Yuppo :woot: Also, Kohli opening should be awesome. He is in prime mode right now. He'll set the momentum right from the beginning. Bijoy rasscala shud do what he does best and swing across the line hoping to connect some. I think we shud have Rohit at 3, dunno if Yuvi can handle the promotion.
jf1gp_1 Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 SA had to score 20 odd runs in 10 overs but they were treating it like 20 runs in 15 balls. All they had to do wait for bad balls. NZ were done in by good bowling or may be their minds were at IPL auction. NZ had 2 days to bat instead of waiting for bad balls they threat it like a 20-20 game. SA were done in by pressure created by fantastic bowling, unfortunately your blind hatred for India wont let you see it which if fine i dont expect Pakis to ever appreciate Indian cricket.
Manny_Pacquiao Posted January 17, 2011 Author Posted January 17, 2011 If SA kept gifting away wickets and choking like the did in the last game' date=' and if umpires gave few more shocking calls like Botha LBW one (one of the most horrendous calls in cricketing history) then this series is done for them.[/quote'] i know bro, its a conspiraCY, clearly RAW, BCCI, CIA and the united states government are the cause of this result.

Mariyam Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Question to the OP- Excuse my Latin, but who or what are " suicidal chxthiya fair weather 'fans' " ? I think this series is ending 3-2. The last game is going to be the decider. Don't think we'll wrap it up by the 4th day.
Hindustani Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 You call it one of the most horrendous call in history? do you even realize the length of exaggeration! damn Woah, "realization" ...lets not be too hard on him, if he really knew how to realize, he wouldn't be having forever in his account name, *ZING* :--D btw, time to buy new hardware for ICF :winky:
jibranpatel15 Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 I don't think thats gonna happen guys. India have just won a game with distance of 1 run between teams while 1st game SA won by 135 runs so from that u can say it was just badluck of SA to lose such game & they were helpless with poor umpiring as well. I m not giving excuses or defending SA but Had botha was't given out this game was over with no more wickets fallend after 6. Lets see where does the fortune go in the remaining 3 ODI's but as always i am backing SA to win this series by the end of 4th ODI.

I myself won't be surprised if SA do win the next 2 matches and India the last, losing Sachin is a great loss with already fragile batting line up, my predictions, 3-2 to SA
Sachinism Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 You call it one of the most horrendous call in history? do you even realize the length of exaggeration! damn It was pretty horrendous. Middle of the bat :haha:
Rajiv Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 It was pretty horrendous. Middle of the bat :haha: ..ya, but we have seen worst. BTW the point is that, it's coming from someone who has seen bad umpiring decisions on their own team and has made the comment as it hurt them a lot. You know, what are they gonna celebrate
vaibhav_delhi Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 If dhoni had gone injured instead of sachin, the answer would have been NO. But currently, its quite probable.

Guest Hiten. Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 India has managed to win ODI series (Asia cup, SL tri series, NZ whitewash) without SRT's services, so I don't get the hoopla about him being India's cornerstone :dontknow:. If anyone can bump Gambits "Do we need tendulkar in ODI" (or something along that line) thread, I'd say NO.
Jersey #10 Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 One victory without Sachin and the trundlers are BACK

Have you ever thought that he might be of Indian descent but born and raised in South Africa, in which case he has every right to support SA before India. In fact, if I were a Saffer, I would be pissed off if he did not considering he lived all his life in that country and is a citizen. Just because one is of Indian descent does not mean he has to support India.
