Manny_Pacquiao Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 regardless of what happened in 2007, india MUST play well in the opening game. starting a tournamnet on the right track is vital. india needs to make a statement by smashing banghaldesh's lights out.
riasat Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 lol.... There is no doubting the fact that India is a much superior team. But u have to go to the field and play the game to the best of your capacity to win. While all the Bangladesh players are practicing all day all night, I see Indian team players busy posing infront of True HD Sony TV or may be as a brand ambassador for Reebok... So that gives me hope :D

saneindian Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 BTW this is what Sehwag said Sehwag is wary of the opening game against Bangladesh, who had derailed India's 2007 World Cup campaign with a shock win. "Because we're playing the opening game against them in Bangladesh, Bangladeshi people are expecting them to beat us again. But this time we have to prepare well … You can say it is a revenge game for us and we won't take the game lightly. We will give our best shot and we will come hard on Bangladesh." Don't see anything wrong in what he said. Media as usual has given it a completely different spin !
riasat Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 That "all night" practice could ruin it for your team in the WC. Obviously not meant in a literal sense....u get the point....:P
diegovegaz Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Sehwag should be wiser. You talk big after you win. Not before the game ( that you can possibly lose). :two_thumbs_up: spot on

I don't think viru said anything wrong, in fact he was being more politically correct by his own standards
hitman1980 Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Wht's the need of revenge anyways .. We have beaten them in every t20,odi and test after tht 2007 debacle .. they r so dead and buried already .. He will win even with our eyes closed .. Guys come on yaar .. I know u r trying not to jinx India .. but not against bangladesh yaar ... they r such a poor team and we should win even if they bat twice .. btw I posted same on tht bangla forum and they blocked me.. hahaha .. seems like they don't wanna hear the truth .. :D Thank god he have one forum where ppl love to hear the truth ;)
coffee_rules Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 :two_thumbs_up: spot on Seems like you both didn't read the quote. He said we will not take the game lightly, and play to our best ability and come hard against BD. There is no talk of winning, beating them, they are ordinary kind of talk.
Ashrafool Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 He won't be scoring too many runs against us anyways. I am more interested in seeing how the underwear model aka Virat Kohli bats against us.
vvvslaxman Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 He won't be scoring too many runs against us anyways. So you don't worry about Gambhir and Raina pounding for the umpteenth time :cantstop: Raina has played 5 times against BD. Not dismissed even once
Ashrafool Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 So you don't worry about Gambhir and Raina pounding for the umpteenth time :cantstop: Raina has played 5 times against BD. Not dismissed even once Gambhir yes, Raina hit or miss. Pathan upgraded version of Ashrafool. Yuvi is too fat nowadays. But I think your only chance of winning the cup is not depended upon Sachin or any other batsman but your bowlers.
Clarke Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Wht's the need of revenge anyways .. We have beaten them in every t20,odi and test after tht 2007 debacle .. they r so dead and buried already .. lol exactly .. we cleaned them in 2007 itself and since then its been the usual. All of that doesn't matter if ur a banged up bro, the hard on from the Caribbean is still there. Gambhir yes, Raina hit or miss. Pathan upgraded version of Ashrafool. Yuvi is too fat nowadays. But I think your only chance of winning the cup is not depended upon Sachin or any other batsman but your bowlers. What an analysis, suits ur id.
riasat Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 With the current indian batting lineup, it is almost hard to imagine how bangladesh can win....but being a bangladeshi I hope the match turns out close....:)
flamy Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Sehwag should be wiser. You talk big after you win. Not before the game ( that you can possibly lose). Mehh. Bland and boring. Viru has always been like this. :icflove: His twitter is legendary
Hindustani Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Revenge match  These ppl needs to come up with better headlines rather then using the fillers
jf1gp_1 Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 No more "Bangladesh are ordinary" quotes? why state the obvious ?
Sachin=GOD Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Everyone has their own style. This is Sehwag's style of dealing things in regular life. Thats why we love him. If Sehwag won't be as gutsy as he is, as brutal as he is on pitch and when talking, I doubt he would have had that many fans what he has now. He atleasts is consistent and bold enough to accept. He is at same time appreciative about others too. The guy whacks world's best bowler for fours all over the park during his 300, and then comes to media and says "Steyn is world's best bowler in the world" This is our Sehwag. Unique, and once in a lifetime. This.
ravishingravi Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Banngladesh as yet don't have "aukat" to talk in terms of revenge. He is just playing with them.
vaibhav_delhi Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 I don't think viru said anything wrong' date=' in fact he was being more politically correct[b'] by his own standards :cantstop:
