Now that we know our weakness in bowling depth and a bad keeper, we can rectify our problems before the big matches. I think this was a blessing in disguise and now Pakistan will be a more stronger force than before.

I think Pak's problem was more to do with bad keeping and a batting order collapse rather than the bowling. Their batting fell like a pack of cards even against Canada, so I think your batting is a greater problem right now, as is the wicketkeeping. Everyone gets thrashed due to their bowling either in the death overs or in the beginning.. so far, it was only against NZ your bowling failed towards the end.. then again, Pak has to face the bigger teams, so it could be worrisome.

Seriously, you knew that the keeper is weak only from the last match :haha: And what did you do so far to rectify it? Nothing! So knowing the weakness doesn't mean you can or will fix it. Don't hope too much from your team management and just pray for better luck.

Asoka Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 If we have learnt anything from cricketing history it is : Never underestimate Pakistan. They can win from the most hopeless situations. I find a hopeless out of form,losing Pakistan 100 times more dangerous than a consistent Pakistan. They are waaay too mercurial and damn unpredictable. Maybe this loss was the much needed ingredient they needed. You dont expect them to win 9 consecutive matches. It is better to have bad days in the group stages than in the knockouts. If they lose to Australia as well best of luck to the team facing them in the QF.

sandeep Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 shehzad and hafeez are the equivalent of 2 Darren Sammys at the top of the order. Pak should open with Khatmal, and get another bowler in the team. Ideally they could get a quality bat in place of Shehzad/Hafeez and a quality bowler in place of Razzaq. As such they are gonna have to make do with what they have, and on some days when it works, they will win - on others it will be a $heit show.
