pakis think india won this bcoz the curator sprayed the outfield with acid and this eliminated the advantage of dew factor and turned the pitch into a minefield in the 2nd innings

Somewhere your English teacher from primary school is laughing at you.
Really? People are more angry about "India scrap their way to Mumbai" which is what I am referring to. Try harder, mod. We surely didn't look fragmented/disconnected/at odds and ends, by any means and that cricinfo piece you quoted "Pakistan lost by 29 runs to India in Mohali in a scrappy match, in which they were generally off their game with bat, ball and, most damagingly, in the field. They were in with a chance at various stages, including when they began the chase, only to let it slip each time." ...talks of Pakistan being scrappy, as in "disjointed/fragmented/at odds and ends." We scrapped, i.e. FOUGHT our way to the final. Comprende? Your cranium called...it has space to rent.

Point taken. The euphoria hasn't settled in yet, I guess! Misread that paragraph to have been referring to India.

Well compared to SL's domination against England and NZ. Yes, this is a scrappy victory, aided by lousy Pakistani fielding.
was it scrappy compared to sri lanka's victory against them in the group stages? :--D and ur standards for 'domination' must be pretty low, if u think your nervous win against a pathetic NZ team was dominating...

I wish there was a facepalm emoticon on these boards. Is there one?

domination against NZ? :cantstop: Hardly. That match was much closer than this one. In this case India was all over Pakistan after first 10 overs.

A victory where tendulakar was dropped 4 times is definetly a scrappy victory AKA fluke instead of a dominating victory.
Do you recall Pakistan missed 3 or 4 stumpings against you. It is not our fault they are crappy fielding. It is not like Pakistan is going to take those catches on another day. We also gave them atleast 3 or 4 lives through missed catch, run out, stumping. :winky:

low scoring matches often look scrappy, I will take a low scoring scrappy match over a one sided match any time. I won't call this a scrapy victory as pakistan were always chasing India, both when bowling and batting and really never had an upper hand but the match was very close and India never gave away the advantage.

More like a thrashing victory. After they lost Afridi's wicket, they were 184-7 and they had no chance from then on. Close to 80 runs to get with 3 wickets in hand at close to 8 runs an over. Game virtually over. The batting did look scrappy though.
