Fontaine Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 This is why Pathan has sucked for the past few years. There was some swing there but Pathan showed up and hardly tried to swing it in. Instead he tried to trick the batsmen by mixing it up with variations (crap), slower deliveries (crap), etc (more crap). Why not just bowl to your strengths and swing the ball in with the right seam position?

Praveen is too good at what he does, but Pathan seems to be swinging similar amount or at same hight and often gets predictable, If he tries to bowl at certain areas, he is often not able to swing. He needs to bowl something magical to impress Dhoni and co to pick him in the team. Still one of the top 10 bowlers in India, but not good enough to be in top pick in 15 man squad of Indian team.
