I am not any kind of authority on Satya Sai Baba, so I ask. Why do you call it stealing/loot etc? Those were voluntary donations. The donors don't seem to be complaining about any stealing, so should we? Just asking from an ethical point of view. If what he did is stealing, then what the government does while taking taxes is also stealing, because not only do we not get much in return, but taxes aren't even voluntary. Even shampoo ads which promise wavy hair in 7 days etc and fail to deliver are a case of stealing. You get my point. If he conned people, who also were unaware or not bothered, it is still fraud and not stealing per se.

But replacing 'stealing' with 'fraud' or 'swindling' shouldn't detract from the broader point being made, specially the molestation and sex with children.

I wasn't trying to detract anything from what you've said. I was just reading this thread and the other one and saw that yours was the only post that said 'stealing'. Sorry, its a case of me being excessively pedantic. Some habits are better when they are left off at the work place. :P
