Ram Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 He has been a massive :fail: I thought BRC’s decision to retain Kohli, but let go off Uthappa was a retarded one. Couldn’t have been more wrong..:giggle:
rajmarie Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 Part of a reason why Uttappa has struggle is due to moronic PW decisions. They still havent got the picture...that their better batsman needs to face more deliveries. But....they can learn from their poor performance & come back better next year(with a new captain offcourse)
vishalvirsingh Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 Has some quality strokes in his bag. Just needs consistency. it is a big mistake by UV to ask uthappa to come so late at no 6 in the order...he shud be asked to open and i can bet his team will benefit and uthappa will score a lot of runs.... it seems UV is afraid that uthappa does not outshine him so he sends him even later than him...
The Outsider Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 it seems UV is afraid that uthappa does not outshine him so he sends him even later than him... :hysterical::hysterical:
Ramzz Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 His confidence seems to be shattered. He has put on weight as well. That must be slowing his shot making as well.
putrevus Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 why does he look like he has some plane to catch, always in hurry while at crease and has strange antics and very few shots in his book. Irony is this guy even wanted to play for India in test cricket.
The Outsider Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 Irony is this guy even wanted to play for India in test cricket. No, the irony is self proclaimed cricket experts on ICF like youngindia had him marked as the next the best thing - that makes making fun of an inept fool like him even more fun. :giggle:
VRV Singh Posted May 19, 2011 Author Posted May 19, 2011 :cantstop: pretty sure Gambhir was giving this guy some advice in the time-out.. Seemed to be showing him orthodox cricket shots to help him score runs :omg: In all seriousness I can't see how Uthappa is anything other than a joke..there must be at least enough batting talent in India to forget about this guy except for laugh at the next franchise to give him a fat wedge..
ensd2 Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Wow he gets 2 000 000 $ : I will put a bat on my son's hand , as soon as he will be 4 years old , so in the future he can plays in ipl:giggle::giggle::giggle:
sarcastic Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 What happened to Uthappa? I was backing him a lot and thought that he had it all to make big and succeed at the highest level. He seems to be batting super slowly and his wicket-keeping is also not that good. What should team India do with this guy? Can he brought back on track and contribute to team India?
jusarrived Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 He was so good with RCB , looks confused in this IPL .
saneindian Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Opener in one match at number 3 in the other, in between his captain says Uthappa is a finisher in his team..He is best as an opener and should be opening across all formats.
jusarrived Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Opener in one match at number 3 in the other' date=' in between his captain says Uthappa is a finisher in his team..He is best as an opener and should be opening across all formats.[/quote'] Hes very good down the order as well , played a few Gayle like innings in CL for RCB ..but yeah he needs to be given a fixed slot
Number Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Their team composition is such that they can't play him in the top order.
vvvslaxman Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Actually he enjoyed batting better in familiar local conditions. Although it depends on how much he has grown as a cricketer. He did get enough chances in this IPL edition to prove his worth. He screwed up most of the time.
