Ram Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Hey dude – Wassup! First of all, let me just say, you guys rocked in the World Cup! Those wins against the arrogant ar$e-holes in the Quarter-final, the cheater Bros Inc. in the semis and those plucky Lankans in the finals.. It still so fresh in memory… like it happened yesterday. Thank you guys, for all those stupendous memories! :two_thumbs_up::icflove: But let me stop beating around the bush and cut to the chase - Why are you effing with us dude? I mean for God’s sake, why are you? I don’t know how else to put this, but honestly, your bowling really needs to step up a lot. And its not just this match, or this series or the previous series.. Its been like this for a while now – a couple of years actually. I know you bowled well in the previous Saffies series, but that seems more like an aberration, than the norm. And the longer this continues, the harder it is for us – your supporters – to come up with excuses to justify your performance. In fact, I am so desperate now, I am reduced to rummaging news paper horoscopes to see if I can find anything for your rashi. We’re really clutching at straws here. Help us out a little bit man.. just a little bit. ( And its not like we’re asking you to take 20 wickets/game.. But just a half-decent performance when the situation demands it, that is all.. How hard can that be? I mean, just take this match’s example - How in the world does a 12 year old international veteran like yourself allow for a situation where you’re pretty much out-bowled by a wide range from spinners from both the sides? That Bishoo guy.. he was playing i-spy with other kids when you won the 2001 Aussie series for us and he was at least twice as effective against Indian batsmen (who are apparently renowned over the world for their ability to play spin), compared to what you did against West Indian batsmen (who by current standards, have pretty much the world batting line-up of all test playing nations..) And FFS, the captain tried his best to you help you out today, keeping you on while the last wicket p’ship was on so that you could wrap things up and come out looking respectable.. You still effed it up and in the end, it was part-timer who took a wicket of his first over. And all this, in a series where our entire first-choice bowling line-up apart from yourself is missing… What is left to say..! :wall: We’re waiting dude, we’re waiting… Patiently and in fervent hope.. But as with anything else in life – there’s a limit to everything. :nervous: Signed, Bhajji Supporter.
Dravid Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 atleast he got a 70 when the team needed it, so its not all bad as long as we win, i could care less i thought mishra was worse then him, so..
zubinpepsi Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 oww but i thought hes for the jazba junoon factor .. mainly emoshional purposes... :dontknow: does he have to take wickets aswell?? comeon thts too much for a guy to fulfill..
BERGKAMP Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Time to be ruthless and drop him. It doesn't matter if he is good friends with Sachin and Dhonis business partner. If he is not leading our attack and getting big batsmen out regularly then he should not be persisted with. As for his batting it is all well and good, but we might as well play Yuvi at number 8 and he will do the same with the bat and more with the ball!

SachDan Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 atleast he got a 70 when the team needed it, so its not all bad as long as we win, i could care less i thought mishra was worse then him, so.. :two_thumbs_up:

Both were terrible. Mishra's problem is not line or length. It is just his inability to bowl little quicker. He did land the ball correctly lot of times. But batsman has fa too much time to play him.
nballa Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 but he is an allrounder in the making, in the same mould as sanath jayasooriya. jaya too started his career and spent a few yrs as a talentless, clueless, classless, mediocre spinner much like what bajji is right now. but as soon as sl board realized he was blessed with such luck that he could swing the bat with g-a-y abandon and stay not out for 5-10 overs he was promoted to open. i think we should do the same with our beloved bajji.
fineleg Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 60-1 in 4th inn and that too on this pitch (aided spin) against WI (poor players of spin) Outbowled by rookie Bishoo. Cant Bhajji or Mishra even remove Fidel Castro or Bishoo - tailender wickets? :dontknow: atleast he got a 70 when the team needed it, so its not all bad . Bowling is primary for Bhajji, getting 70 with bat is appreciated, but bowling first.

This actually the biggest myth that people keep going on about like a broken taperecorder. WI have always been very good players of spin with few exceptions. As for Bhajji I am more intreserted in suggestions for improvement than this raving and ranting.
fineleg Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 ^ I meant the current WI batsmen, not the past greats. As for Bhajji I am more interested in suggestions for improvement He can start with better line, length control and spin and use variations + use of crease. Also stop dart throwing every so often.
King Tendulkar Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 O fineys back from under her stone. Where were you when nohit was doping the business? I simple well batted would have sufficed, then you could have tucked in to your humble pie! Ram for god sake cant believe you started this thread so you got royally pawned. You yourself how on many occasions have pointed out how silly posters are with bhaji starting threads to hammer him only for him to deliver big time in next match or session and answer all doubters. I mean to write of his superb performances in an away series against our toughest opponets as merley an abberation is amazing!!! This is not 20/20 bakwaas. It requires hard work and consistency which he did in a whole series, give him enormous credit for that instead of saying abberation. I mean so if anyone does superbly in a test series against tough opponents on their patch we must call it abberation. Its almost a bias against bowlers, as if a batsman had top scored in SA and then had 1 average game in windies , no one would start such a silly thread. We expect way to much from bowlers and expect them to do well i every match. Batters can have failures and not a word is mentioned(rightly so). Swann has done nothing in SL series of note, no one is slamming him??? Swann also had mediocre WC, again no one after him. Also Bhaji was our most economical bowler in WC, hardly any praise. You will get pawned here over time, as you have made same mistake you have been preaching for years to other on bhaji. He did not even have a bad game as made runs and took wickets. If you did overall rating on match, he would get high rating due to over all performance
mishra Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 Geeta Basra has rocked the boat. Guy is on rebound :((
