The Realist Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 Need to start questioning Gambhir's committment to the national team - he's had minor injuries yet pulls out of tests and then shows no heart when he does play. Multiply that for Dartbhajan, who ran when the going got tough yet is now amazingly fit to play T20. Overpaid underperformers.

Yep - while he is willing to play through the most strenuous pain for his IPL team just because it pays him two million dollars. Really shows where this little bastard's priorities are. Then again as you say, Make it Large boy is even worse.
maniac Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 IPL and Champions league are the future...I have switched my loyalties....We don't care about boring test cricket so we gave England the daan of being No1....Definetely BCCI is run by geniuses hence it is one of the most powerful and richest bodies in sports and they do see that IPL and CL is the future of cricket not retarded test matches which no one cares( about except for some posters on ICF) and I am in total agreement with them.

Then again as you say' date=' Make it Large boy is even worse.[/quote'] i know it isnt a great time to be an indian supporter after a 4-0 loss, but you are just talking crap. gambhir was perfectly fine when he was picked for the england tour. he got injured in THIS series - first at lords when he got hit fielding at short leg - and then here at the oval when he got a head injury when going for a catch. he missed a game in between and couldnt find any form as a result. he was just unlucky and his situation has nothing to do with the IPL. BTW, the guy DOES take playing for india very seriously, he plays his heart out for the team, and your comments, even in anger, are really shameful. you might wanna consider editing that post.

yoda Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 Manny considers a comment about Gambhir's commitment shameful, yet is happy to blabber about Dravid being a selfish idiot who just hogs the #3 spot and keeps playing only for the records. :hahaha:

Manny_Pacquiao Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 While you're entitled to your opinion about Gambhir' date=' don't you dare tell me what to post or not to post.[/quote'] its not an opinion, i just put the facts out there to correct your misconceptions. he was good to go before the tour and any injuries he had, were sustained during this series, not before it. calling an indian cricketer, 'a little bastard', wouldn't look out of place on a paki forum, BTW. just letting you know.
Trichromatic Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 IPL :hehe: Boycott all superstars who play CL. BCCI should ban them from playing in this tamasha tournament. Request to mods : Delete all new threads related to IPL and CL. Censor the word IPL on this forum until India wins an away tour.
ensd2 Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 Enough of this tamasha league , it won't help indian cricket , its not cricket its just money
julianlev Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 ^^ Well' date=' first of all not all not all 4 international players are eligible for other teams in the CL. Regarding players who are eligible to play for both teams (IPL and non), one of the teams is going to lose a player, but gain monetarily as compensation. Seems fair to me.[/quote'] Well, I think NSW would beg to differ, considering that they're losing their two frontline pace bowlers my team fortunately isn't being affected, but the Warriors have been hit bad, losing Jacobs and Kallis I do agree though that ultimately the choice rests with the players and that it's their loyalty to their home franchise that has to be questioned Then again, considering that Kallis is joining my Cobras next year, maybe he feels it wouldn't be right to play in a Warriors jersey again
Mariyam Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 this, in a nutshell, is my biggest problem with the IPL teams in the CL Other teams have maybe one foreign player at most, while IPL teams have four even worse, these players are taken from playing for their own teams to playing for IPL ones so not only do the IPL teams have access to up to four quality international players, but it comes at the expense of the other teams Huh? Well, they are not 'taken'. They choose the IPL sides over their own teams. I suspect its because of the love for Indian culture, cuisine and the pleasant summers. I mean, your players would never choose an IPL side over the native team just coz IPL sides pay more, right?
fineleg Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 If HS and GG end up playing this CL, then it clearly shows they dont care about getting 100% healed and 100% fit for the future Intl series!
Sir john Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 hope murli bhai somerset qualify for champions league

CSK Fanatic Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Doesnt make iota of differance, CSK is here to rule for next 2 decades! We play as a unit, with passion!!!!
Desi Cartman Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Lol India has 4 teams. How does it make sense when other countries at the Mac have 2 and 4 IPL teams
Mariyam Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Doesnt make iota of differance' date=' [b']CSK is here to rule for next 2 decades! We play as a unit, with passion!!!! Hitler and his crew predicted similar things about their 1000 year reich. We all know how that ended. :winky: All tyrannical organizations (and their fans) boast a lot before their unflattering demise. CSK ( and CSK fans) are no different. :P
