Dude, I have had depression and there was no reason behind it and still I felt so low. You are brave that you actually have real issues and you are brave enough to fight it out. I am impressed. I really cant offer you any advise and just say Live life king size. As you said the situation will slowly become more acute so live life to the fullest everyday.

Achilles, could not have said it better myself. Vpin, I truly can't even imagine stepping into your shoes. Here's a place to start, The Multiple Sclerosis Society of India. http://www.mssocietyindia.org As you mentioned, there are meds to help slow down the disease process as well as diet and lifestyle. I'm sure you are aware of all this... Perhaps, one of the most important things is surrounding yourself with loved ones. They are your ultimate support group. Be positive and keep fighting! The battle is not lost. We are all here to lend an ear, best wishes.

Hey Vipin Beating MS is completely possible... there are many success stories... we all have complete faith that you will trash it, beat it to a pulp, strangle it, kill it and dance on it... if i have to say it in icf terms... you will beat it the way sehwag hit pakistani bowlers in multan... but you must believe you can... a little positive thinking will help eh? sunlight, exercise, positive frame of mind are very important all the best dude

Hey Vipin, Good news for you is - you know the problem at hand and time frame too. So - now that you know the time bound goal - stay focused and go all out. Gather as much information as much as you can. But you must also keep executing on a daily/weekly basis and track your tasks/progress. Also, as someone already mentioned - developing habit of meditation/pranayam would help you keep your calm, now and in longer term. Also, I would highly recommend reading "Its not about the bike" by Lance Armstrong. (it is not about MS, but one of the best stories about beating down cancer).

Hi Vipin, I was reading about "the Liberation Treatment for Multiple Sclerosis" which is new and only available in select few facilities around the world including Apollo hospital Blore and Chennai and BreachCandy in Mumbai. http://liberation-treatment.com/liberation-treatment/doctors I called up the doctor who performs this procedure in Chennai (Tel.: 9900236825) from the above contact and he said there have been some miraculous improvement in patients who had lesion in brain and that one of his 18 yr old patients frm canada who couldn't walk could start regular life (college, outdoor activities - hiking etc)after the treatment. He said 50-60% people who had disability in walking had improved after the procedure, mainly the ones who had lesions in the brain. And 80% stopped regressing (becoming worse). The treatment has zero risk involved. He has arnd 200 patients enrolled for the treatment. He plans to further evaluate the procedure for the patients with spinal lesions over the next 2 yrs by monitoring their progress. He said the treatment is available in Delhi also (fortis hosp. - I think, couldn't hear properly). I think you should call him up . All the best.

This is great! Keep your head up, Vipin. You may also want to think about organizing an awareness run or walk; that way, you will be keeping your mind occupied with a project, and also make contacts of people who have gone through this. Ideas will start to pour.

Hello Vipin, all the best man. Some good advice by fellow members. My only advice would be to learn all about MS, explore all the methods of treatments availabe, reach out to MS organizations or groups online/offline, consult with doctors, weigh your options of moving to a country offering good health care if feasable and then decide on the best route for yourself. Live your life the way you want to and may God give you strength. Best of wishes from my side
