MCcricket Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Regardless of India winning the test match or this series, we need to have a new captain , wicket keeper for test's, very negative , defensive, illogical field settings and captainship from Dhoni and this has been a pattern some time now, also he is a bunny with the bat in test's,especially away from home.We have lost the English tour so badly due to mistakes by the selectors and Dhoni:whack:
Utalk Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Mohammed Yousaf says hello. I was thinking that Yousaf has made a comeback in disguise of MS today.
Manny_Pacquiao Posted December 29, 2011 Author Posted December 29, 2011 But he is not a gutless captain.. that's all I am trying to say. :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: LOOK into a mirror and say the words 'DHONI IS NOT A GUTLESS CAPTAIN' to yourself. if you can do that without laughing, let me know...
Dravid_TheWall Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Let us not forget how he treated world cup hero Sreesanth too!!
asterix Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Even the commentators are questioning Dhoni's tactics today..Unles he gets some sort of bamboo up his..he'll not change..Because of his ego, it's take so much time to induct bowlers like Yadav & Aaron in the team..Imagine Yadav bowling in the England tour..
Yoda-esque Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Let us not forget how he treated world cup hero Sreesanth too!!
Sachinism Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Let us not forget how he treated world cup hero Sreesanth too!! Last warning. Derail another thread with a post about the spastic and its an IP ban
saneindian Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 He was never an attacking captain, in fact no modern captain is an aggressive one. But MSD has taken being defensive to an all together new level.
CG Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 He was never an attacking captain' date=' in fact no modern captain is an aggressive one. But MSD has taken being defensive to an all together new level.[/quote'] I like viru captaincy agianst westindies he kept the field up even in Odis,The problem is with dhoni or people who are advising him ,I cannot think sachin and others cannot interfere and help dhoni .
chainsmoker1985 Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 He has a very big ego problem... He may not think that whatever the legends of the game or past cricketers are advising him is useless but he don't give a damn to their opinion and their advises too. This attitude of his had cost us all the matches in England
Deleted_User_1 Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 How could be let them score 240??? That too 40+ for the last wicket......??? WTF man!!!
Manny_Pacquiao Posted December 29, 2011 Author Posted December 29, 2011 How could be let them score 240??? That too 40+ for the last wicket......??? WTF man!!! you seem surprised? this is nothing new. i have seen it all before.
MCcricket Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 The interview given by Dhoni was ludicrous, with Ian , and very subtly Dada amazed at Dhoni's comments that we lost this match bcoz of our experienced bats, also we could have done nothing against the Aussie lower bats as the Kookaburra doesn't do anything after 17 overs , lol, also Ishant is just there to keep it tight lol, not a wicket taker lol:wall:
ravishingravi Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Just one quick point. I had posted a thread about this very defensive captaincy of Dhoni in NZ series in India. NZ were 6 down for 50 . And Dhoni had 5 men on the boundary. At the time, I recall posters personally attacking me ESP ram and saneindian. Of course at the India was the so called no 1 team and Dhoni could do no wrong. Well actually he could and did, but result in not so tough conditions against not so tough sides was enough to get Indians excited. But the tide has turned quite drastically. Seems like people are finally waking up. But I still believe he is the best guy for the job. I think he need a better coach.
Texy Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Pathetic Dhoni strikes again.... it's time we get a separate captain for the Test side and kick Dhoni out...we have plenty of wicketkeepers who can do the job. His batting is pathetic and his captaincy skills somehow evaporated ...don't mind losing but it's embarrassing when your field placing let tailenders score at will

asterix Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 who would that be? Sehwag (although a dickhead) is bit aggresive in his captaincy. Hope the captaincy brings some responsibility in his batting too. Best candidate under present circumstances. Can't be messed around if Dhoni (if he manages to save his test place) tries to act smart..

I think Gambhir is a good option in terms of him being younger, is a fighter , averages 48 and bats when chips are down mostly, takes initiatives , bats according to the requirments, and is respected amoong his colleagues.:nice:

Gambhir loses the plot pretty easily, hence not the primary option..Need to groom a captain in the younger lot. Viraat Kohli is coming out as an arrogant brat. Should look for other alternatives..
