Crookbond Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Abu Dhabi-Kochi AI Express hijack fiasco: Passengers asked to drink urine http://www.emirates247.com/news/emirates/abu-dhabi-kochi-ai-express-hijack-fiasco-passengers-asked-to-drink-urine-2012-10-20-1.479549 Security staff at India's Trivandrum airport have been accused of asking thirsty passengers to drink urine. According to one of the passengers of a Kochi bound Air India Express flight IX 4522 that departed from Abu Dhabi on Thursday evening, a security officer indicated through sign language to drink urine when a thirsty passenger requested drinking water. The passenger said the water was being requested for a baby who was thirsty, especially after the flight was stranded at the tarmac at Trivandrum airport for more than 10 hours. Passengers travelling to Kochi from Abu Dhabi finally managed to reach their destination almost 19 hours after their scheduled departure Rs. 1,732 Crore to full effect!
punjabi_khota Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 **** I am on 14hour AI flight next week
Jersey #10 Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 bullocks...what's the point in pumping money into a system that fails over and over again?
anotherhawkeye Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 **** I am on 14hour AI flight next week Dude, why are you flying through AI fir such a long distance.
punjabi_khota Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Dude' date=' why are you flying through AI fir such a long distance.[/quote'] Cuz I am a cheap mofo and that was the cheapest flight NOT stopping in the middle-east. I guess I wil practise pee-drinking .
Clarke Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 The first (and last) time i flew AI, they had a malfunction and we were stuck at Heathrow for half a day and then spent most of the other night @ Newark. That made the decision easy, never again :finger:
anotherhawkeye Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 Cuz I am a cheap mofo and that was the cheapest flight NOT stopping in the middle-east. I guess I wil practise pee-drinking . Ha ha...

GautiMaan Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 **** Air India.I've travelled only once in the piece of sh!t they call an airplane, took 7 hours to reach where other airlines would've taken only 4(and that was because we were lucky i guess). And i cant beleive how often the flights are late
Ram Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 Apart from the fact they have all been AMWAYed at some point or the other in their stay in Amreeka, another common factor than bonds all NRIs is their near universal derision for flying in Air-India.
Ram Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 **** Air India.I've travelled only once in the piece of sh!t they call an airplane' date='took 7 hours to reach where other airlines would've taken only 4(and that was because we were lucky i guess). And i cant beleive how often the flights are late[/quote'] Why travel in that piece of sh!t that they call an airplane? Maybe you should just buy a private jet next time? :dontknow: Btw, your story about how the AI plane took 7 hours to reach the destination instead of the usual 4 is so obviously cooked up, its not even funny. You do realize that all carriers operate almost the same class/brands of aircrafts right? Its not like British Airways ships you around in gleaming new A380s and AI asks you to cling on to rear end of a flying stick.

GautiMaan Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 hard to believe unless airlines was grounded or took off late for some reason .flying time should be same unless its a concord . Late take off ofcourse

Its not like British Airways ships you around in gleaming new A380s and AI asks you to cling on to rear end of a flying stick. I didnt mean the running time:facepalm:What a rude post! You should consider a career in Air India Air India had announced a low cost alternative to the usual flights from the middle east,it was called Air India express, many Indians were looking forward to this as the usual carriers are overpriced. The flight take off was late by 3 hours-no reasons were given(never happened with the usual Oman Air). The boarding terminal was changed at some point-no formal announcements were made, some guy made this discovery and we all rushed like cattle to that terminal. After boarding the flight some kid had stomach trouble and after he went to the toilet no one else could get in coz of the smell,It took an hour before the flight attendants mustered up the will to spray some Air fresheners. We reached Trivandrum nauseated. Most of our friends who travelled in Air India Express had their flights delayed and had poor experiences on board. Now once in a while a flight may get delayed but how can it happen so often unless they dont give a chit abt those who travel

Clarke Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 I don't get it, what happens if AI is sold or last resort, shuts shop ? How many votes does it cost to the govt ?
