Can any fast bowling experts throw light on the Aaron's action? especially the position of his other non bowling arm.
there is not such problems in his action. This is his changed action last year after he suffered stress fracture in back. Lillie helped him then with action. Regarding his left arm. He uses his left arm when he delivers. Left arm does not move only when he runs in run up. That can be improved and will be improved as he plays. now he has less injury-prone action as he comes very straight and bowls straight on, while before he used to go his left side and was even faster than what he is now with that action but that action has stresses his left lower back . though, he is still bowling very fast and will gain his maximum pace again. there is no bowler in the world right now who can bowl 155k like brett Lee and shoiab used to bowl in early to mid 2000s. there is these two fast bowlers Pattrick Cummins from australia who at 17 bowled 145+ I am seeing bowling like brett lee in the next few years and aaron if he can keep his head and fitness right, he will be bowling 150+ more often.

Atleast Now nobody will say our bowlers lack pace so we struggled.which is a big relief. But i think watching dhoni captaincy he will give prefeence to rp sing, praveen kumar, munaf patel for 1st few games as they are expereinced no matter how they perform

I do not see him clocking high speeds on espn speed gun,may be on sky he may clock.regarding his action its a simple one like hilfenhaus which helps his accuracy and he comes close to wicket

Sreeshant was also clocked 142 on one occasion and 140 on quite a few occasions, even Bopara is clocking 82 mph and he was clocked fast over 145 on Neo speed guns where other bowlers werent even clocking 135.

Varun Aaron has: 1. A front foot block bowling action which is one of the hardest things to do for a fast bowler. It's not a simple action with a huge amount of wear and tear on the ankle, foot, legs and back. 2. Secondly along with that front foot block he's got great hip/chest drive which means as long as he's fit he'll bowl 85+. So he is going to clock high speeds as long as he is willing to do it. Mitchell Johnson is another example of a guy with a good front foot block and Brett Lee. These guys, like Aaron aren't very very tall but make full use of powerful legs/hips/shoulders to plant the front foot and block to really get a lot of pace. Sreeshant used to have a great front foot block as well, with very good hip drive and controlled explosion through the shoulders/chest which made him an ideal test match bowler and a guy who USED to be able to bowl 85mph on average. But THAT was years ago. Now his front leg plant is much more soft which either means he's tired (not likely because he's hardly bowled at all this year) or he hasn't put in the gym/practice work to keep his legs/hips strong.

RP Singh definitely will not be in the ODI playing XI as he has done enough to uncement his place through his performance in tests. I am more or less sure that Aaron will play. The other thing I am willing to bet is he will be generally between 140- 144 and maybe sometime clocking above 145+ . Having said that, the thinking of selectors is laughable. Consider this - Varun Aaron, who had just performed exceptionally in the U-19 tournament was not sent for the test series , instead RP was preferred who played his last match some 9 months ago. The other factor - Its easier for any youngster to make a debut in a test in which chances of him getting hammered is slim and getting time to get used to international cricket is more. For a genuine quickie like Aaron, getting hit in ODI is more and hence being psychologically down is even more. Very poor thinking by selectors. Their thinking and decisions really make us wonder if they have ever played international cricket. Srikanth seems to me corrupt to the core. But we will take Aaron in the squad no matter what. Happy for him to be there, however hoping to see him in the playing XI

And finally, once again, I said a few years ago that the BCCI was utterly retarded to ban Indian players from attending the MRF and go to the NCA. Guys like Tremlett/Broad and other pace bowlers from around the world STILL go the the MRF pace academy to work on their bowling. And I think they produced 90% of our bowlers at one time. How many has the NCA produced? Guys like Varun Aaron went to the MRF pace academy from an early age, not the NCA who just passed guys like Sree/Zaheer through a so called fitness test.

finely explained Fontaine. Hilfenhaus has a kind of side-on action, not that much straight as Aaron has. he pauses before delivery with fast rotation of shoulder. Sreeshanth has developed quite a few chinks in his action. he drops his left arm too early that results in lack of consistency. his delivery position too is not that great some times when ball is delivered like flighted deliveries and floats.

Yes, exactly. All completely correcteable as long as he actually is willing to bowl hard in practice and work on those weakenesses instead of working on his dialogue delivery, songs, poets, and freakin' tweets. The NCA has to take a lot of the blame though. How can a the national cricket academy allow an unfit bowler to pass a fitness test when he's developed so many technical problems? I look at Sreesanth now and he's got skinny legs and a chubby waist and yet he passed a fitness test in the NCA? Unbelieveable. Guys like Tremlett/Broad have been attending the MRF pace academy and working with some of the best coaches etc. While the NCA helps turn RP Singh/Sree into trundlers: http://cricketnext.in.com/print/28010-13.html
"ECB is sending its full team of 16 players and they would train at the academy facilities for eight days and then play a three-day and four-day matches against teams to be decided shortly," Chief Coach of the MRF Academy TA Sekar, who will be training the visitors' fast bowlers, told Cricketnext.com on Saturday. "Majority of the team members are most talented and have been in the high performance academy of the ECB for over an year. The fast bowlers will be handled by me and Ashley Giles would be in charge of the spinners in the team, Sekar said. Taking pride in the services rendered to fast bowlers in the world, Sekar said, "at a time when we are looking forward to recognition by the International Cricket Council, England Board's decision to choose MRF Academy for training of their prospective cricketers before they make their national team is rather encouraging more so when the ECB opted for MRF Facilities than training in Mumbai." Players like Luke Wright, Stuart Broad, Chris Tremlett, who had already represented England, besides some other promising youngsters are a part of the England side.
Add Dernback and Finn to the list also: http://cricketnext.in.com/print/37854-13.html Following are the English bowlers arriving here early tomorrow for the training session: Kent trainees: Matt Coles, Adam Ball, Warren Lee, Phil Edwards; Coach: Philip Relf and EWCB: Chris Jordan, Maurice Chambers, Jade Bernbach, Mark Turner, John Clarke, Chris Woakes, Steve Finn and Neil Killeen (Head Coach) and Graeme Welch (Asst Coach).

Perhaps the BCCI could buy out MRF and ask it to train only Indians :P. Do Lillee and Tyson still coach there? Manoj Tiwary got picked for WI, forced to open on match, 2nd one he did ok-ish. Perhaps could have got a nother shot. Good to see Rahane there though finally.

So as it stands RPS replaces Zak, Varun for Ishant, Rahane for Sehwag...? That the only changes...?

Glas to hear his name. I know he will get a chance rite away. At this time, it's easier for a bowler to get a chance in Indian line up than a batsman. Hopefully Rahane will get his proper run too. I just hope Varun Aaron is the real deal and lives up to our expectations. All the best to both of them. Hopefully they are two of those, who will last for us atleast 10 ears in Int'l cricket.

by simple i meant easy to repeat ,front action has been bane of many bowlers who have suffered injuries, but his action is like ben hilfenhaus ,which seems to be smooth . Ben+Hilfenhaus+Derbyshire+v+Australia+Warm+UlqTrX1jqJRl.jpg135983.2.jpg i did not find front on pics but their action looks similar.
