nikred Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 I just saw the movie. My friends seemed to like it, me not so much. I will always have a problem with bollywood's over the top emotions. Sanjay Dutt and Rishi Kapoor were good though.
Holysmoke Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 It was OK. Sanju baba killed it, Rishi was good too.
DomainK Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Taran Adarsh of Bollywood Hungama has given it 4.5/5 stars ...genuine reflection or paid advertisement? :hmmm: That guy is an idiot. Many of the members here can write better reviews than him. What the F does it take to become a film critic? :headshake:
kabira Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 It was OK. Sanju baba killed it' date=' Rishi was good too.[/quote'] what you mean killed it??
rkt.india Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 #Agneepath *early trends* Thursday figure is 24.5 cr +. Creates HISTORY.
achilles Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Disappointing. If you have watched the original Agneepath, get ready to be disappointed. The ONLY bright point about this film is Sanjay Dutt, whose done maybe his best role after Khalnayak.
rkt.india Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Agneepath Smashes BodyguardÃÔ Opening Day Record With Rs. 25 Cr Karan JoharŽÃŽÔ Agneepath, a remake of the 1990 Amitabh Bachchan-starrer, has broken all opening day records at the Indian box-office. The film, which stars Hrithik Roshan, Sanjay Dutt, Priyanka Chopra and Rishi Kapoor, made Rs. 25 crore (all-India net collection) on its first day at the box-office, January 26, 2012. This is an all-time record. As predicted by Koimoi.com, the film surpassed the opening day collections of the Salman Khan-starrer, Bodyguard, which had netted Rs. 21 crore on its day of release (August 31, 2011). As figures are still flowing in, it remains to be seen if Agneepath will break the record for the highest collections in a day, held by Shah Rukh KhanŽÃŽÔ Ra.One (Rs. 25.10 crore; for all three versions). In fact, if you consider only the collections of the Hindi version of Ra.One, the record for the highest collections in a day has already been broken by Agneepath. This is Hrithik RoshanŽÃŽÔ biggest initial so far. With Agneepath, Hrithik also enters the Rs. 100 crore club because with such collections on the first day itself, it is a foregone conclusion that the film will go on to make loads of money in the days to come. Agneepath may well be the fastest Rs. 100 crore grosser. Right now, this record is held by Bodyguard, which crossed the Rs. 100 crore barrier in 8 days only. achilles Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 OMG, so there were a lot of people who wasted their money like me! :((
Mariyam Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Disappointing. If you have watched the original Agneepath, get ready to be disappointed. The ONLY bright point about this film is Sanjay Dutt, whose done maybe his best role after Khalnayak. My views are diametrically opposite to yours. I hated the original Agnipath. That constipated Amitabh voice just killed it for me. And I hate Mithun. Can't stand anything the guy does. So that movie was a torture for me. Luckily, I could forward the bulk of the movie and only watch the songs, which weren't great too. This Agnipath was better written. Better connect between various scenes. Liked Hritik and Rishi Kapoor. Found Sanjay Dutt over the top, as usual.
kabira Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 ^Mithun was awesome as Nariyal pani wala...who is doing his role in new one??
nikred Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 ^Mithun was awesome as Nariyal pani wala...who is doing his role in new one?? Rishi Kapoor, but in this version he sells teenage girls instead of nariyal pani. :hatsoff:
Yoda-esque Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Rishi Kapoor' date=' but in this version he sells teenage girls instead of nariyal pani. :hatsoff:[/quote'] :giggle:
akshayxyz Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 hmm..why did I watch this.. now I will have to watch "RGV kee Aag" 7 times, - paapon ka prayaschit karne ke liye.. seriously, it was my fault, I built up expectation from the cast and watching the trailer. Some scenes are picturized well, but otherwise an average movie. Also Bollywood directors don't know where to put the full stop - too lengthy for the plot.
Pagalpanti Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Sanjay Dutt tried hard to look bad ass but failed. Hrithik and Priayanka were okay.. but I thought Rishi did an excellent job. Songs were meh.. Too many pointless scenes and songs. Found the movie average probably cuz I expected a lot more from it.
