The Realist Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Seriously?! Malnourished Guy is back to bowl harmless straight balls and then struggle to beat the in field when batting. He was abysmal the last time in Eng. This tour is just plumbing lower and lower depths.

I would have preferred Yusuf Pathan... Although he did look much improved in IPL4. Well hope he is better, GO JADDU!!
Sidhoni Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 KbXbsWwvR_w :two_thumbs_up::two_thumbs_up::two_thumbs_up::cantstop: Who regards him as the future captain?
Hell Raiser Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Jaddu...:yay: Should have been here for the test series also.:D
kubrickian Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 I agree, he was the 'main' reason that we failed in that World Cup T20 in England.. I would have preferred Yusuf Pathan... Although he did look much improved in IPL4. Well hope he is better, GO JADDU!! ++++++. Yusuf is a big hitter capable of changing matches if things go well for him. Jaddu doesnt even have strength to clear the infield ffs and he just throws darts and calls it off spin. Yusuf even did well in South Africa where our main batsmen failed. This decision to select Jaddu over Yusuf is the biggest WTF moment.
kabira Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 I hope he has improved his batting. His bowling was really good anyways.
WC2011INDIA Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Sir jaddu :hail::hail::hail::hail::hail::hail::hail::hail::hail::hail: On a serious note, :WTF: is going on !!!!! Pretty sure Dhoni recommended Jadeja's name to BCCI. He has always been partial and supported players that he likes.
WeStMiDz Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 He did look like he had improved his batting (well big hitting) in the IPL. He probably has one of the best throwing arms in India too so that helps. Overall not the worst decisions considering there are three openers in PP, Rahane and Sachin in the squad.
Prakat Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 KbXbsWwvR_w :haha: soundtrack is perfect! :15 needs to be in CT's beautiful batting thread.

Good to see a discussion on the topic. Personally, he looked a much better batsman this year around in the IPL. He has worked on his physique which helps the power hitting unlike earlier where he used to uncork his wrists to generate power. I am not sure of his bowling but if he's anywhere close to an average bowler who holds up one end I think we fits in nicely to our squad. It highly looks like Ajinkya Rahane may make his debut in place of Gautam Gambhir.
