One good series for Jadeja and already people and newspapers are talking about this potential inclusion in indian test team. What has he done in domestic circuit to earn a test spot? Getting a test nod is a huge honor and it should earned. Indian pitches are conducive for spinners and can't really complain like pace bowlers. I really dont think that he has done enough to give him a break ahead of Ojha. Pragyan has been toiling hard in domestic circuit and also done very well in county cricket. Recently seen him in irani trophy and he has improved leaps and bounds......So, ojha is the one who should be considered, so that enough respect is given to domestic structure and also respect for hard working cricketers....Nothing against Jadeja...he has done very well in ODI's but shouldn't consider ODI's performance for the basis of test selection

Ojha definitely is the better bowler, but is he is a lot better than Jadeja, Ojha averages around 27 , while jadeja averages around 29. Plus Jadeja as a batsman averages 41+ the same as our current no.6 Suresh Raina. His attitude is suspect and his running between wickets is pathetic but his fielding is again a positive , but if he had to make it to India's team, there is no better opponent than WestIndies at home

Oh well why don't you check his first class record in Ranjis, He was highest wicket taker two years ago.

Jadeja and Ojha both are similar bowlers while Jadeja can bat. Ojha gives a bit more flight while Jadeja has a better arm ball. Both are not the best answer of our spin worries.

I think you underrate Ojha a little RKT. Obviously with you living in India and me in England you have seen more of him. But from what i have seen Ojha has the makings of a good test bowler. He keeps it tight, flights the ball well and gets good turn. He could do with a bit more variation but i have been impressed with what i have seen of him. I don't think his test stats tell how well he has bowled for India. He had to bowl against Sri Lankans in Sri Lanka which is always a tough test and has bowled on some absolute roads in India. I'm not saying Ojha will be the answer to our spin problems but he has the potential to do well.

Jadeja does the same thing yaar and has better arm ball. Problem is the variations which both do not have.

imo Ojha is a better bowler than Jadeja for tests. Jadeja depends more on the conditions and assistance from pitch. I've seen Ojha bowl well but he's been unlucky to not get many wickets. Definitely he should get a chance ahead of Jadeja.

Disagree, i don't think Jadeja would be as economical as Ojha in tests. I think Jadeja is far more likely to be hit out of the attack

Among the left arm spinners we have Bhargav bhat is very impressive. Ojha has great flight and accuracy. But he lacks a decent arm ball. Murali Karthik has an excellent arm ball. Iqbal Abdulla should also be in the reckoning. He picked around 30 wickets same as Ojha last season with slightly better average. Ojha is more suited to tests coz of the flight. But you never know. Once Yuvi returns it will be interesting whether they will pick a left arm spinner at all.

In the long term I see Jadeja as the left hand spinner for India,he is multi dimensional, fighter, will try different things.Ojha is a classical spinner , accurate, plays on batsmen's patience, bad fielder and cannot bat.I Abdulla to me , might be the one with most potential.

Ojha for sure...Jadeja cannot make the squad solely as a bowler he is an above-average bowler with a decent batting technique.... From my assessment of him, one day I can see him finding a spot as a batsman as there is definetely talent there..Dare I say this but he looks a lot more of a compact batsman than Raina.
