Top 10 is too hard .... but below is the list of some of the noteworthy films in my book .... some of these, I haven't seen in a long time but still remember, which is one of the reasons that makes them AT classics in no particular order: * Sholay ----> amazing film .... you watch it now and it still looks fresh * Mugal-e-Azam ----> brilliant drama .... "jab pyar kiya toh darna kiya" * Pakeezah ----> I haven't seen this film in a long time but still remember Raj Kumar's dialog "aap ke paav bhaut haseen hai, une zammen pe maat utariya, meela ho jaaye gay" .... a classic .... Raj Kumar rocks * Ganga Jamuna, Footpath, Vidhata ----> Dilip Kumar showed why is he Dilip Kumar * Deewar ----> how many times I wished AB hadn't lost his '786' badge when he was being chased by Shashi :(( * Awara ----> "kiya karoon meri surat hi aise hai" .... Other RK classic: Shree 420, Jish Desh Main Ganga Bheti hai * Guide, Hare Rama Hare Krishna, Johny Mera Naam, CID ----> Dev Anand was simply magical * Teesri Manzil, Rajkumar ----> Shammi Kapoor was very entertaining * Dharmatma and Quarbani ----> Classics from FK * Trishul, Amar Akbar and Anthony, Don, Laawaris, Zanjeer, .... ----> powerful performances by AB * Ek Duje Ke Liya ----> "tere mera bich mein kaise hai yeh bandhan anjaana" Kamal Hassan! * Karz ----> ek hasina thi .... and that Karz tune * Hero, Kalicharan ----> cool Subhash Ghai films * Ram Lakhan, Teezab ----> anil Kapoor was brilliant * Shivaji the boss ----> Ranji at his best * Roti ----> "Mangal Mangal ke din pada hua tha aur Mangal ke din marega, aak toh Som hai" :winky: * Chupke Chupke ----> One of Dharmendra's best performances I could go on and on ..........

People need to understand that Slumdog Millionare was NOT a Bollywood movie, that is, did not come out of India. It was a british financed film that was distributed by an American indie company, Fox Searchlight. Tbh, it was a highly overrated flick.

Agneepath. There's so much that is sub-par in this film but despite that (or perhaps even because of) it remains by my reckoning, and that of AB himself, the best film he has acted in. Another film I can watch over and over is Shakthi.

Many of AB's films from 70s-80s are such classics .... even his not so highly rated films like Kaalia, Majboor, Do aur do panch, khudhaar for example are better than many of today's films

Even, Masoom - the Delhi feel of the movie is what I am always reminded of. Only Monsson Wedding has captured Delhi to the essence that Masoom did.

What about Khosla ka Ghosla and that film with younger Deol where he is a thief...

Khosla ka Ghosla is better comedy than anything i have seen in last 20 years. Older comedies (jaane bhi do yaaro for example) don't cut it for me and are more slapstick in hindsight.

If you're lucky and her newly wed husband is abusive and flirty..you can become her confidant and make her fall in love w/ you. You can then take a side tour of Vegas just for the hell of it. All is fair in Love and Vegas 5: Kal ho naa ho: Will make you cry like a baby...crybaby. Love is the ultimate sacrifice and this movie teaches you to not be selfish. You're in love with your rival franchise owner and you're sh!t outta luck since you're dying...what do you do? find the girly looking kid who can't score and set them up together. In between blend hindi and American culture into a song and sing Pretty woman. Ultimate 3 hr test of love and sacrifice...are you man enuf to take the challenge? 4: Swades: Ultimate movie on love for your country. Patriotism at its best. You can be NASA engineer(before economy collapsed) living comfortably in phoren but the warmth of the soil, smell of cow dung, general love of people with no money will certainly make you think twice about carbon emissions and coming back home.
