You're extremely lucky you got something which even the likes of Donald,Waqar,Pollock don't have. As for 5 wkt haul even Nehra and Munna have good days, son. Why are you so worried about international career btw. You can earn good money in IPL. BeautifulGame Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 I think the only way Pathan can be an international cricketer is if he develops his batting a bit more , maintains this swing and some slow bowling variations.Then he can play as a seam bowling all rounder (even at this 120k pace ) in ODIs and T20s and considering next world cup is in Aus could turn out to be a useful addition. I just cant see him as an test bowler in International cricket anymore frankly. And as for Sreesanth please he shouldnt be anywhere near the ODI team.Heck i would even take V K over sreesanth.He is one of the worst ODI bowlers in cricket today not just India.He wont even make Bangladesh ODI team. Munaf and Nehra are twice the bowlers Sresanth is in One day cricket

NO when he was dropped his pace had dropped to low 120s. He was still swinging the ball but of no use with no pace and poor direction. He is still not very consistent in terms of line and length because of his poor bowling technique. He will never be consistently good until he improves his bowling technique.

Take a look at his stats in test cricket against top sides ,you will get your answer about his test credantials.Barring Zim and Banglades,he has been a mediocre test bowler. I think you missed the part where I said If he improves his bowling,he can be a good addition to our limited overs side.Since his return in 2007 he bowled as a first change bowler ,who relied more on change of pace than anything else.Thats why he didnt get as many wickets on his return.But he was bowling well till CB series in 2008 after which his bowling suffered and he was rightly dropped.Thats why I am saying if his bowling improves ,he can be of great utility in our LOI side because he is our only hope in seam bowling all rounder's role.
