JeffThommo_fan
Just imagine people have been blaming him for not giving his 100% and his lil bit of overweight, although he is not that overweight at all. Yet, we were not aware of the fact that he was playing World-Cup with fever and vomiting and tumor and yet gave his 200% there and emerged out our biggest WC hero by winning Man-of-the-series award. He was always giving his more than limitations. Best of luck for him and hope he comes back soon Link to comment

Stuge
Yuvraj Singh fighting ailment Yuvraj Singh can reflect on the World Cup with pride. He set aside a serious ailment to concentrate on the team's goal and eventually emerged a strong individual. But the feat came at a cost. On Saturday, Yuvraj's mother, Shabnam, revealed the reason for Yuvraj pulling out of the upcoming home one-day series against the West Indies. ŵhe last few months have been extremely tough for my son, Yuvraj. After the highs of the World Cup, Yuvraj has found himself dealing with the toughest time of his life in these last six seven months. During the World Cup, Yuvraj found himself constantly troubled by bouts of coughing and vomiting. He ignored the problem, assuming it was due to stress and didn't want anything to distract him during the course of such an important tournament, said Yuvraj's mother. Really serious When the problem persisted after the World Cup, it was decided that Yuvraj should seek medical advice. ųeports and scans then showed us that Yuvraj was dealing with something really serious. A golf-ball size lump was found over his left lung and doctors advised us to go in for more detailed scans, Shabnam said. According to her, the initial reports suggested that Yuvraj had an ÅÂbnormal tumour called lymphoma over his left lung. ŵhe danger was, we were told, that it could be malignant. Everyone in the family was very disturbed, even while we knew we were under very good medical care and doctors wanted to conduct some more tests to ensure that he got the right treatment. Yuvraj improved but could only play one Test match (in England) before returning due to a finger injury. On returning from England, Yuvraj continued with his treatment. Non-malignant Å£iopsy reports have indicated that the tumour is non-malignant and non-threatening and can be treated through proper medication and therapy. In medical terms, Yuvraj is now in a much better state and on his way to a full recovery, Shabnam said. She assured that Yuvraj was now focused on regaining full fitness. Å©e is already preparing himself to play the ODI series in Australia, she said. The statement continued, źuvraj knows the importance of being fully fit when he returns to the field and that is why he has asked not to be considered for selection in the one-dayers versus the West Indies. He wants to be hundred per cent fit before resuming his cricket.Ǽ http://www.thehindu.com/sport/cricket/article2663235.ece Link to comment
