mhr123 Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 We are yet to find a replacement for Dada ... leave alone finding a replacement for RD.
SLICKR392 Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 We are yet to find a replacement for Dada ... leave alone finding a replacement for RD. Replacement for Dada in TEST squad or the TEST captaincy ? There are plenty to fill his shoes if you meant the playing XI. Don't compare his quality of TEST cricket with that of Dravid!
vvvslaxman Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 We are yet to find a replacement for Dada ... leave alone finding a replacement for RD. They desperately hoped one of Raina or Yuvi to replace him. But they were not even half as good as Dada in Tests.

Don't compare his quality of TEST cricket with that of Dravid! i never compared Dada and RD as a test player...RD is in a diff league and in some cases even better than SRT. We are yet to find a replacement for Dada at no.6 .. u can feel a big vacuum there .. and now after RD again we would find a vacuum at no.3.

vvvslaxman Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 So? Even though he was the poorest among the big 4, we still don't have anyone who is as good as atleast Ganguly. Kohli is the first to start showing some signs.
saket123 Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 I'd rather have batsmen who can win matches with their strokes than a wall.

wanted_desi Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Pujara atleast in India, I don't know who would replace him outside of India :(
CG Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 There is a case for moving Gauti down to no.3 and having someone like Mukund open the innings. :hysterical::hysterical: You say badrinath is bad and then want mukund in the team,The guy hanga on the back foot as if he is facing holding and garner and cannot play the short ball.
vvvslaxman Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 :hysterical::hysterical: You say badrinath is bad and then want mukund in the team' date='The guy hanga on the back foot as if he is facing holding and garner and cannot play the short ball.[/quote'] Mukund negotiated the pace bowling far better than Badri who was the only one batsman all at sea iagainst pace. IN every match i have seen he was susceptible against good pacy stuff. He looks so out of place.
